It's the Return of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy!

At Red State, Erick Erickson writes, “Nancy Pelosi Joins the Fringe Mosquerade:”

Ladies and gentlemen, we have come through the looking glass.

Tonight on KCBS radio in San Francisco, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi began calls for investigations into opponents of the Ground Zero mosque.

Aligning herself with the fringe — a group of people no larger than those who think 9/11 was an inside job and those who think Barack Obama is a foreign born Manchurian candidate — Pelosi said, “There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded.”

Kerry Picket has more on this fringe mosquerader at the Washington Times. Someone might want to ask Pelosi if she also thinks 9/11 was an inside job.

As the Rhetorican asks, “Why is this mosque afflicting so many Democrats with stupid?”

But not all — like Harry Reid, Earl Pomeroy (D-ND) is another liberal in a conservative region of the country who can see the handwriting on the wall and is distancing himself from the the president and Pelosi on this issue accordingly.

For others on the left, Jon of the Exurban League blog drafts a winning campaign slogan for 2010. No doubt, it would win the approval of the 21st century’s answer to Edward R. Murrow.

Update: At Ricochet, Claire Berlinski is succinct: “Oh, Come Get Me, Nancy Pelosi.”

Meanwhile, at Big Hollywood, Greg Gutfeld, in-between building Dialog, decries the brutal American oppression of beleaguered minority religions.
