Roger Ebert's Fox Butterfield Moment

The cheerful centrist movie critic turned cranky wannabe "progressive" pundit Tweeted yesterday:

"At Least 29 Shot In Chicago Over The Weekend." It's the fault of our damn unconstitutional gun laws.

Why, yes it is, among other things.

In contrast, Ebert's post-Siskel on-air sparring partner, Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Times,  displays slightly more sense: "Good riddance to gun ban that wasn't working."
