Note the date on the above tweet. As Malcolm Muggeridge observed over a half century ago, there’s no way any satirist can improve upon real life for its pure absurdity; reality will eventually catch up.
…Or at least whatever passes for reality inside the alternate universe that is the Obama White House and John Kerry hip deep in Foggy Bottom.
By the way, five days before Brooks’ tweet, our own Michael Ledeen pondered if Obama’s Syria bumbling was to buy time while cutting a deal with the Russians.
(Oh, and speaking of Muggeridge, his 1979 article on “The Great Liberal Death Wish” seems remarkably germane to this administration as well.)
