Julian Assange is fuming at Hillary Clinton after she attacked him during her recent appearance on an Australian news show.
In the exclusive interview with Four Corners, a long-running news/documentary program in Australia, Clinton alleged that Assange colluded with Russia to disrupt the 2016 U.S. election and torpedo her candidacy for president.
Said Clinton in the softball interview that aired Monday:
Assange has become a kind of nihilistic opportunist who does the bidding of a dictator. … WikiLeaks is unfortunately now practically a fully owned subsidiary of Russian intelligence.
This was too much for Assange, who has had it in for Hillary ever since he heard she wanted to kill him with a drone strike.
He defended himself and lambasted her in a series of tweets, calling the former secretary of State a liar who has “something wrong with her.” He also blasted ABC for failing to obtain his response to Clinton’s comments in what he called “a clear violation of its Code of Practice before promoting Hillary Clinton’s defamatory statements”:
WikiLeaks has a pristine record for accuracy. HRC is not a credible person. The primary cause of her downfall was her own Machiavellian scheme to elevate Mr. Trump ("Pied Piper").

Compare Hillary Clinton's conspiracy theories to what even Obama and his top US intelligence officials (Democratic appointees and not remotely neutral) say https://t.co/2rJzFY4G0R

There's something wrong with Hillary Clinton. It is not just her constant lying. It is not just that she throws off menacing glares and seethes thwarted entitlement. Watch closely. Something much darker rides along with it. A cold creepiness rarely seen. https://t.co/JNw2dkXgdu

On Clinton's "timing" conspiracy theory. That we had a pending publication about to launch on the election was everywhere in the media for days. We were meant to launch that morning. It is the Trump tape that was moved forward from Monday to Friday. https://t.co/Mo6PbJoTpV

Assange also retweeted The Intercept’s Glenn Greenwald purporting that Wikileaks has also exposed Russia’s secrets:

Assange then pointed to an old post written by Hot Air’s John Sexton — from when Sexton wrote for Breitbart — suggesting that a plot was being hatched as far back as 2010 to take down the DNC:

“I’m not sure how something I wrote as a thought experiment in 2010 is now proof of … anything,” Sexton told PJ Media. He pointed to a New York Times article from January 2017 that linked to his 2010 post at Breitbart, saying: “[T]he Times found it and credited me with seeing how Assange’s theories could be applied to the DNC.”
Sexton said he thinks Assange found his article from reading the New York Times piece. He wrote about the New York Times article here.
As someone who knows John Sexton personally, I can tell you with close to 100% certainty that Assange is barking up the wrong tree here.
Assange also criticized Four Corners executive producer Sally Neighbour’s professionalism after he says she broke “their code of conduct” by not getting his response. Assange called a retweet by Neighbour (pictured below) “pathetic” and said it showed “extreme unprofessionality.”
No wonder Australian state TV @ABC @4corners broke their code of conduct over their Hillary Clinton interview. Look at the extreme unprofessionality of the ABC 'executive producer' behind it. https://t.co/wbsAv24vaV

Assange told the Daily Mail:
A sad day for Four Corners. … WikiLeaks has a pristine record for accuracy. Clinton stands alone in suggesting otherwise.
…
There was no push back on Clinton’s ridiculous conspiracy theories or use of weasel words. The single greatest contributor to Clinton’s downfall was not brought up: her strategy to elevate Donald Trump. We were not contacted to rebut.
The Australian, however, reported:
Four Corner’s executive producer Sally Neighbour invited him on the program for a full right of reply after the interview.
