Project Veritas: Illegal $20,000 Wire Transfer to AUFC Caught on Tape

In Part IV of Project Veritas’ undercover video series documenting the sinister activities of the organized left, James O’Keefe shows how his team was able to gain access to longtime community organizer Robert Creamer’s sleazy operations. “We had people posing as donors, political consultants, interns, overseas financial advisors, and activists,” O’Keefe explains in the video.

One of Project Veritas’ undercover journalists, posing as a sketchy “English money man,” illegally donated $20,000 to Americans United for Change through an offshore account in Belize in order to prove his credibility. Once in the door, O’Keefe says, his team was led directly to Robert Creamer, “a Democrat power broker who knows the Obama White House like the back of his hand”  because the English donor’s  “daughter” — another Project Veritas reporter —  was offered an internship at Creamer’s political consulting firm Democracy Partners.

Creamer is one of the most nefarious creatures on the organized left. The convicted felon and Alinskyite agitator is married to Illinois Socialist Democrat Rep. Jan Schakowsky. While he was in jail for bank fraud and tax evasion, Creamer wrote a 628-page political manual titled “Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win” (published in 2007).

In the Acknowledgements section of the book, Creamer stated that his political views had been deeply influenced by “the legendary community organizer” Saul Alinsky. Stand Up Straight! advanced the notion that the Democratic Party could win a permanent majority in Congress by doing the following:

• passing a national health care bill, thereby turning more people into wards of an ever-expanding government, and of the party that works to grow government
• giving amnesty to all illegal immigrants, thereby creating, virtually overnight, a large new constituency of Democratic voters.

White House visitor logs show that Creamer has visited the White House 342 times and had direct meetings with President Obama in 47 of those instances. He has also attended at least one state dinner, despite the fact that ex-convicts are usually barred from such events.

“I’ve know the president since he was a community organizer in Chicago,” Creamer told one of the undercover potential donors. He also bragged that he had just met with Obama while he was in Chicago recently. “I do a lot of work with the White House on their issues,” he said. “Helping to run issue campaigns that they’ve been involved in.” Creamer cited immigration reform, the health care bill, and “making America look more like Britain” on gun issues. (Virtually all handguns were banned in Great Britain with the 1997 passage of the Firearms Act. Obama has repeatedly disputed claims that he wants to take guns away from people who use them responsibly. Hillary says the same thing, but there is no reason to believe her.)

Creamer explained how his organizations coordinate with the Clinton campaign: “Every morning I’m on a call at 10:30 that goes over the message going over the campaign headquarters.” He added, “I do a lot of work with the White House.”

Project Veritas’ investigation has exposed Creamer and company’s dark campaign activities, including their efforts at inciting violence at Trump rallies, voter fraud, and possibly illegal coordination between the DNC, Hillary for America, and various Super PACs.

O’Keefe says Americans United for Change sent his undercover donors numerous proposals detailing how they planned to get voters to the polls. Project Veritas opened a bank account in Belize so they could send the money anonymously. “This is typically the actions of drug dealers and tax-dodging white collar criminals,” he notes.  AUFC president Brad Woodhouse said that they needed the money by September 15-22 so it would help with their early-voting efforts (whatever those might be). Project Veritas ended up wiring AUFC the $20,000 in order to stay in their good graces.

In an effort to see how far Creamer’s operation would go to get donations, O’Keefe also had a potential donor call Creamer to request a meeting. He said he was looking for an immigration lawyer with powerful connections to help a wealthy Syrian friend move to the United States. Creamer said he would get in touch with “the guy who ran the campaign for President Obama.” He added, “He has a firm that is pretty well connected.”

As O’Keefe notes, Creamer was listed as a consultant to AUFC until the Project Veritas videos exposed his shady activities.

According to the filmmaker, when Woodhouse heard that Project Veritas Action was releasing undercover videos exposing AUFC’s activities, he told a reporter that AUFC was going to return the twenty thousand dollars.

Says O’Keefe: “He said it was because they were concerned that it might have been an illegal foreign donation. Project Veritas Action was pleased but wondered why that hadn’t been a problem for the month that they had the money.”
