Like many Hollywood actors, No Country For Old Men star Josh Brolin loves himself some new health trends. So, when he heard about “perineum sunning” (meaning: lying on the floor with your legs up so your backside is exposed to the sun), he couldn’t wait to try it. Sadly for him, that didn’t go as planned. Instead of being “energized” by the experience, he ended up treating his pucker hole with aloe vera and burn creams.
Last month, Instagram influencer Ra of Earth became famous after he shared a video of three naked men giving their butts a sunbath. “In a mere 30 seconds of sunlight on your butthole, you will receive more energy from this electric node than you would in an entire day being outside with your clothes on,” the Internet phenomenon said in the video.
Actor Josh Brolin was one of the many millions who saw the video. Instead of laughing at Ra’s lunacy, Brolin took him seriously. Sadly, the results aren’t exactly what he’d hoped for.
“Tried this perineum sunning that I’ve been hearing about,” he writes on Instagram, “and my suggestion is DO NOT do it as long as I did. My pucker hole is crazy burned and I was going to spend the day shopping with my family and instead I’m icing and using aloe and burn creams because of the severity of the pain.”
“I don’t know,” he goes on to write, “who the f*ck thought of this stupid sh*t but f*ck you nonetheless. Seriously.”
Although Brolin clearly feels extremely sorry for himself, his Instagram followers seem to have a slightly different take on the matter. Their responses vary from “bwahahahahaha” (@vancityreynolds) to “Hahahahahahahaha!! #blackholesun you f*ck*n gotta be sh*tt*n’ me!!! #coalhole” (@dkwars).
As for me, I suggest that whenever a Hollywood star tries to preach to us normal people about something (climate change, taxes, etc.), we just point to this angry post by Brolin. That should shut them up real fast.
