WASHINGTON — After the formal swearing-in for the 115th Congress inside the Senate chamber today, Vice President Joe Biden conducted his last ceremonial swearing-in for senators and their sometimes large familial entourages.
Biden has delivered some legendary quips and cringe-worthy glomming at the event, as expressed by Sen. Chris Coons’ (D-Del.) daughter at the last swearing-in:
Today, a baby in the family of Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) expertly ducked the infamous Biden Kiss:

He decided to adopt Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla.) children:

He smooched seven-term Sen. Chuck Grassley’s (R-Iowa) wife on the lips:
GRASSLEY: and mr vice president, you remember my wife, right?

He almost gave his confession to Sen. Pat Leahy’s (D-Vt.) brother-in-law, Father Claude Pomerleau:

He aired some feelings that probably didn’t make the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee too happy:
He does love Senate wives:

And he let his post-White House plans slip (that’s the University of Pennsylvania):
