As if we needed one more proof that Anthony Fauci does not value individual life but only his own power and control over the country and the world, it comes out of his newly released diary pages during the pandemic.
"The situation with my national and international fame is explosive and really unimaginable," wrote Fauci, then director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). "It is not hyperbole to say that today I am the most famous and talked about person in the country and one of the most recognizable peson [sic] in the world." His spelling was bad, but his pride was unparalleled.
You can read two of the entries below that Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) released, one from March and the other from May 2020. On March 22, Fauci declared, "Cases continue to soar. 30,000 in USA with 400 deaths; Italy still escalating." We now know, of course, that hospitals were deliberately inflating the COVID-19 death count, but supposing Fauci actually believes the numbers, he certainly isn't bothered by them.
"Press is going wild with me," he wrote under the data about the 400 deaths. He bragged about features on him in The Washington Post, The New York Times, and The Atlantic. He then asserted he was trying to "stick to the science" and accused Trump of not doing so, even though Fauci himself later admitted his social distancing and masking rules were arbitrary and not based on solid evidence. He shut down much of the country and permanently damaged millions of lives without any evidence indicating this would actually help people.
Fast forward to May 2020, and Fauci was as callous as ever to the suffering of others while gleeful at his own fame and influence. He wrote, "Global 234,100 [cases?] — new 24,200; deaths 9800 Italy 3,400 deaths, now surpassed China". Again, China lied egregiously about its death count, but the point is how Fauci saw all these as mere numbers on a page while he went on his merry way. Once more, Fauci was preoccupied with his "Big front page article" at the Washington Post, "Very flattering," and the "Countless profiles on me in multiple media."

All of this boasting becomes even more despicable in light of the fact that, as the documents that Tulsi Gabbard released finally proved, Fauci was funneling millions of dollars to the Wuhan lab where we are almost certain scientists manufactured COVID-19 and then leaked it. Fauci lied under oath about that to Congress.

We also know that in late 2019, at which point he had already been funding the gain-of-function research in China, Fauci claimed at a Milken Institute Summit that some “disruptive” action or event was needed to convince people that rapidly produced (and improperly tested) mRNA influenza vaccines were great. Based on his horrific experiments on beagles and allegedly HIV-positive kids, and approval of grafting aborted babies’ scalps onto lab rats, I think we can say it is obvious that Fauci has no value for most people's lives. He is the chess master discarding pawns whenever they don’t fit in his ultimate vision.
For him, “science” means the unrestricted ability to experiment not only on animals, but on humans, in disgusting and potentially deadly ways, just to satisfy his curiosity, fill his pocketbook, increase his political clout, or inflate his ego.
