A major California teachers' union has endorsed Democrat Xavier Becerra for governor. As if there weren’t already enough reasons to vote this clown down, that endorsement definitely seals the deal.
There are, of course, many reasons not to vote for Becerra, who was the Health and Human Services secretary under Joe Biden and, as such, oversaw numerous disastrous and unconstitutional policies including aggressive vaccine mandates, lockdown restrictions, and social media censorship. But since the California Teachers Association (CTA) recently endorsed Becerra in his race against Republican Steve Hilton, I will focus in this piece on Becerra's horrible track record on education and child grooming.
Hilton pointed out one reason CTA and Becerra are aligned:

Becerra means more of the same policies that produced some of the worst education outcomes in America.

CTA is about as woke as you might expect. Its affiliated LGBTQ Caucus spews all the most ridiculous jargon and promotes a quote from accused pedophile Harvey Milk. The union's official position is against "forced outing," which actually means not "gender transitioning" kids in secret. CTA claims that removing Pride flags and LGBTQ curricula from classrooms is wrong. And CTA also violates federal law by shielding illegal aliens and falsely assuring law-breaking foreigners that they have constitutional rights. Furthermore, CTA backs extreme critical race theory.

Unfortunately, Becerra fits right in with CTA's radical goals. Current HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. called Becerra out on his participation in trafficking, castrating, and abusing countless children. Becerra's HHS was key to the Biden administration illegal alien trafficking operation that "lost track of" over 300,000 children. We now know that the feds were deliberately not maintaining standards for screening sponsors of migrant children, and in some cases placed kids with known traffickers and abusers.
Besides that, Becerra promoted "transgender treatments," including cross-sex hormones, puberty blockers, and surgeries, for young children and teens. Becerra ignored basic biological facts, scientific evidence, and parental rights to push radical transgender ideology. He even encouraged healthcare providers in Texas to violate state law and "gender transition" children secretly. His LGBTQ obsession included approval for indoctrination in schools.
Since then, Becerra has seemed to waffle a little on "transgender" athletes in school sports specifically. In an interview for his gubernatorial run, he tried to dance around the issue by saying that there was no constitutional right to play in a particular sport (which is true) and that he believes sports "governing bodies" should decide. But even then, when the interviewer brought up California's egregious law requiring that school athletes be allowed to play based on the gender with which they "identify" rather than based on biological sex, Becerra said he agreed that was legitimate. So we know as governor, he wouldn't intervene to stop biological males from playing in female sports and using female facilities in schools.
And he won't stop there. Becerra fully believes in using the state government and public schools to groom kids. The Fight Magazine reported in April:
He supports strengthening California’s status as a “sanctuary” for trans youth and their families fleeing restrictive laws in other states...At a recent March 2026 gubernatorial forum hosted by Equality California, Becerra strongly condemned the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent moves that allow schools to implement “forced outing” policies (requiring teachers to tell parents about a student’s pronoun changes). He has vowed to use the Governor’s office to block such policies in California.
By "forced outing," they actually mean respecting parental rights by informing parents of a child's "gender transition" at school. In other words, Becerra is happy to support California's existing law to hide LGBTQ grooming from students' parents.
Becerra, should he win the gubernatorial election, would be as radical on education and child grooming as Gavin Newsom has been — if not more so.
