President Donald Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem are absolutely right to say that unless the Senate passes the SAVE Act and the election integrity legislation becomes law, after the next election or two, we probably will not have a nation to save. The Democrats will have succeeded in permanently entrenching an election fraud apparatus.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I want to emphasize that Democrats have been interfering with and actively manipulating elections since the 19th century, and that leftist groups that eventually formed the Democratic Party have been meddling with our elections as far back as the 18th century, including the likes of Aaron Burr and Tammany Hall (see Greenfield’s “Domestic Enemies”). But there have been periods when we have rallied and taken back power from the corrupt anti-American left. If we do not take drastic actions to secure our elections this year, however, it is a serious question whether we will be able to rally again anytime in the near future.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shared a clip of Noem talking about the SAVE America Act, which passed the House but not yet the Senate. It would ensure that in federal elections proof of citizenship is required to register to vote and an ID is required to vote. This should be “common sense,” as Noem emphasized: that only American citizens can vote and each person gets one vote. But Dems are universally opposing the legislation, making it perfectly clear they want election fraud.
Noem quoted Trump, “We will either fix our nation’s election issues or we will no longer have a nation to save.”
It is an unfortunate feature of the Republican Party, also going back to the late 19th century, that we keep trying to play politics by Marquess of Queensberry rules while our opponents are fanatically dedicated and thoroughly ruthless. We cannot afford to be less determined than they are.

The obvious example to use right now in illustrating how narrow the vote margin can be thanks to Democrat/RINO cheating is in Georgia, because the FBI recently raided the Fulton County election office there. Election watchdog VoterGA.org says that, based on evidence obtained by the FBI, there were over 17,800 certified votes from the 2020 election for which there are no matching digital images and therefore likely no ballots. And strikingly, Joe Biden’s supposed margin of victory in that state in 2020 was about 11,700 votes.
The reason this matters six years later, of course, is because there have been allegations of fraud in multiple states, particularly in 2020 but also in 2022, and this is an ongoing problem. The Trump administration had the FBI raid Fulton County’s office not simply to discover what happened in that 2020 election, but to understand how to prevent fraud going forward.
As Benjamin Franklin once said, we have a republic — if we can keep it. We need to be pressuring our senators to vote for the SAVE America Act and emphasize election integrity in this midterm year. Trump and Noem were absolutely correct to say that, without securing our elections, we cannot hope to save our country.
