When a Boston University student reported a group of illegal aliens to federal authorities, he not only received a slew of explicit death threats, but the university sided against him and told him not to attend classes if he wanted to escape violence.
We saw this same pattern with the pro-Hamas protests at universities where Jewish students and professors, attacked and threatened, were told they were the problem and they should avoid classes if they wanted to stay safe. Zachary Segal, president of Boston University’s College Republicans, tipped ICE off about a local business where officers reportedly arrested nine illegal aliens. Now Segal is seeking help from America First Legal (AFL) as he is in credible fear of his physical safety. One message to him referred to the assassination of Charlie Kirk: “Here’s to hoping you’re the next to get Kirked.”
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) encourages citizens to send in tips to help them do their jobs. Any illegal alien is not allowed to be in the country and is therefore, by definition, a criminal eligible for arrest and deportation. But leftists have so successfully taken over most of our universities that many college students really believe cooperating with ICE is akin to cooperating with the Nazi Gestapo.
Therefore, it follows that these same leftists believe they are morally righteous for threatening and even attacking both ICE and its citizen allies. Just as Democrats used to mount slave patrols and terrorize abolitionists before the Civil War, as they formed domestic terror groups to stop civil rights, sway elections, and enforce a sort of political slavery, so now Democrats use domestic terrorism to cow people into submission and protect their pernicious policies.
It is interesting to note that Democrats make many of the same arguments about illegal immigration as they did about slavery because illegal immigration also is about cheap labor — and rigged elections — for them. Obviously, most of the stupid college students who protest against ICE don’t realize any of this historical context or why Democrats are so dedicated to illegal immigration, but so long as they protest as Democrats want, the end result of domestic terrorism is the same.

To return to the current example of this history of Democrat/leftist violence, AFL notified Boston University that it was representing Segal at the end of December. AFL stated:
There is nothing unlawful about reporting suspected violations of federal law. Yet, thousands of individuals, including fellow BU students, sent Mr. Segal threatening messages and covered campus with posters labeling Segal a “racist and fascist.” One poster displayed across the campus states that people like Segal have “no place” on BU’s campus.
Among the messages to Segal were “If I ever see you i’m [expletive] killing you and leaving ur dead body on the sidewalk”; “I’ll be waiting outside your little event tonight”; and “We’re coming for you.” Boston University reacted by telling Segal he would have to make his own academic accommodations so that he could stop attending classes. The university refused to condemn the violent threats or assist Segal. AFL says this violated the duty of care under Massachusetts law and BU’s alleged dedication to First Amendment rights, and it urges BU to let Segal transfer to a D.C. program for his safety.
The Civil War never really ended; the battlefield just shifted. Our universities and colleges are truly battlegrounds in the culture war.
