Since the 1960s and 1970s, education spending has increased astronomically, as has administrative and teacher hiring. Yet American students’ scores are at historic lows.
Let’s talk some uncomfortable truths. Throwing taxpayer money at a problem doesn’t necessarily solve it — sometimes it actually makes it worse. If you have a woke, ignorant teacher and an incompetent, radically leftist administrator, paying them more doesn’t make them competent or less ignorant. Providing more funding to a school focused on LGBTQ and DEI ideology just gives more resources to propagandists.
My eLearning World reported this year, “Since 1970, the U.S. has ramped up its educational spending by an astounding 154%, adjusted for inflation.” In January, the Nation’s Report Card illustrated yet more declines in reading and math not restored to pre-COVID lockdown levels, and a continued lack of proficiency among a majority of students at their grade level. Spending spikes haven’t had positive results.
There are a whole host of factors contributing to the educational crisis in America, none of which are easy to solve, and many of which will require years of very hard work across many sectors of society to correct. For instance, part of the issue is the collapse of the American family. As of 2023, 21% of U.S. kids were being raised without their fathers, per Legal Jobs; around half of kids will eventually have divorced parents; and children with divorced parents are twice as likely to commit suicide or drop out of high school. And of course, children from broken homes are more likely to do drugs, get pregnant out of wedlock, and commit crime.

It’s about a little boy discovering his gender identity who pretends to be a girl and crossdresses
This is GROOMING. Gender ideology must be eradicated from every school. This has to… pic.twitter.com/WwKtddsZu4

Even children in stable homes are often spoiled and undisciplined, with electronic devices being used as babysitters and a noticeable lack of expectations compared to previous generations. All of this contributes to behavioral problems and academic underachievement in schools.
WTF. Student at @TAMU KICKED OUT of class by a woke professor after she objected to a lesson on transgenderism, stating that it violates Trump's EO and violates her religious beliefs.

Then, also, the quality of education and the standards in schools have been going down overall for years, which means many of the teachers and administrators were not themselves well educated. Add to that the fact that they were probably taught false history, trashy literature, and insufficient math, and you can understand why students aren’t learning much. The average teacher now, at least in public schools (private schools are better depending on who runs them, hence the education gap in America), is more focused on woke politics and elitist jargon than in actually teaching children useful information and practical skills. If the teacher doesn’t know grammar or understand biology, he can’t teach kids grammar or biology.
Add in the Democrat politicians, leftist school boards, and teachers’ unions, which care more about attacking Donald Trump and pushing LGBTQ/CRT indoctrination than in educating kids, and you have the crisis we are witnessing today.
WTF. Worcester Public Schools (@worcesterpublic) in MA made a post "affirming" their support of the radical LGBTQ agenda while showcasing their participation in a Pride event which featured DRAG QUEENS with KIDS.

That’s how we end up with stats reported by Heritage Foundation, such as that only 22% of eighth graders are proficient in civics, K-12 spending quadrupled without meaningful academic gains since 1960, and:
Since 1950, public school enrollment is up 100%, teacher jobs are up 243%, and administration jobs are up 709%… Chief Diversity Officers are employed in 48% of school districts with 15,000+ students.
We have been using the wrong solutions to the problems we have. Until we are willing to face the ugly truths and put in the long, hard work necessary to attack the root problems, education will continue to decline in America.
