There’s yet another Trump administration win to celebrate — toxic and unreliable “green” energy, which was being artificially kept alive by huge infusions of federal government-issued taxpayer cash, is heading for collapse after Trump axed excessive spending.
Last month, just after taking office, Donald Trump froze literally trillions of dollars’ worth of federal spending. And misnamed “green” energy/“renewables” were among the casualties. Climate alarmists are now in panic that the future of their boondoggle failed energy sources is as bleak as an Arctic December. Hopefully the spending freeze holds in spite of activist judges and these disastrous climate alarmist projects fail faster than a solar panel in a London thunderstorm.
Just the News and Climate Change Dispatch reported the good news after years of federal handouts to “green” energy, originally ramped up under Barack Obama. “During the Biden-Harris administration, President Joe Biden and the Democrats passed hundreds of regulations against the oil, gas, and coal industries.” They also lavished money on climate alarmism, particularly “green” energy. In contrast, Trump made it one of his major campaign promises to return to significant oil drilling. The American people obviously — and rightly — preferred his vision.
“What we’re seeing is the eco-left movement proving in real time that their schemes cannot stand without taxpayer support. The free market should be deciding what products Americans do or don’t want to buy, and not the government picking winners and losers. It’s really simple,” stated Larry Behrens of Power the Future in comments to Just the News.

So-called “green” energy is in reality toxic, inefficient, unreliable, and expensive. It takes up and ruins massive swathes of land and ocean, it kills staggering numbers of wildlife, and it simply cannot be profitable (or even survive) without government subsidies. That last point explains the reality of what we are seeing right now with the reported panic over losing government payouts.
Not only that, the mining of necessary minerals and the manufacture of solar panels, wind turbines, and electric vehicle batteries is heavily dependent on African slave labor (including abusive child labor) and the genocidal Chinese Communist Party, America’s number one enemy.
This is why it’s so important that the judges trying to end the Trump administration funding freeze to various climate alarmist initiatives be thwarted. “Green” energy has always been a lose-lose situation, requiring huge amounts of taxpayer money while providing no valuable return.
