Communist China’s ‘Rights’ Talk Is Pure Hypocrisy

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is lecturing the world on children’s mental health, rights, and their relation to artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, the CCP is weaponizing AI for its oppressive surveillance state and presiding over the most dictatorial regime in the world.

Despite ample proof of the CCP’s religious and political persecution, ethnic genocide, and other crimes, its representatives constantly and solemnly lecture world leaders about human rights, diversity, inclusion, justice, and compassion. It’s nothing but propaganda, but it is disturbing how many Westerners seem to fall for it.

CCP propaganda outlet Global Times tweeted out a piece about a Chinese ambassador’s speech to the China-pandering United Nations (UN).

Chinese ambassador Chen Xu called for the high-quality development of artificial intelligence (AI), assistance in promoting children's mental health, and protection of children's rights while delivering a joint statement on behalf of 80 countries at the 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on Thursday…[Chen said] artificial intelligence is a new field of human development and should adhere to the concept of consultation, joint construction, and shared benefits, while working together to promote the governance of artificial intelligence.

The CCP mandates that AI in China uphold the “core values of socialism.” Global Times also noted in a separate post, “China's cyberspace regulator will conduct a special campaign to regulate #AI-generated content on the internet.” The outlet is here referring to the CCP censorship agency. All AI in China will be merely another tool of the CCP and its Orwellian surveillance state. Why would any national or international body take the CCP’s advice on AI?

Chen Xu detailed three principles, but the third was particularly ironic, as he called for nations “to adhere to unity in diversity, respect national sovereignty, laws, national conditions, and historical, religious, and cultural backgrounds, and strengthen international governance of AI on this basis.”

Meanwhile, the CCP structures its policies based on specific ethnicities, committing cultural or literal genocide against minority groups such as the Tibetans, Mongols, and Uyghurs. The CCP’s persecution of Christians, Falun Gong, and other religious groups is also a worsening crisis. It’s utterly ridiculous for Chen Xu to speak about “diversity” and respecting “historical, religious, and cultural backgrounds.” It is comparable to the hypothetical situation of Adolf Hitler lecturing about preventing anti-Semitism.

Indeed, the CCP is the worst mass murderer of all time, with up to 500 million victims — and counting. It continues to practice genocide on a mass scale. What is even worse than Chen Xu blathering about human rights is that many Westerners will take his preposterous claims seriously. They pretend Communist China is not suffering under an egregious dictatorship, because of money, political influence, or propaganda from China.

The UN — especially America — needs to stop platforming and applauding CCP propaganda and begin calling it out for the evil, tyrannical entity that it is.
