Musk, Biden, Others Flock to Dictator Xi in San Francisco

Would you pay $40,000 for the privilege of dining amicably with the world’s worst dictator? A whole host of U.S. tech CEOs and world leaders would say yes, it seems, as government and business leaders (including Joe Biden) are flocking to San Francisco to meet Chinese Communist Party (CCP) dictator Xi Jinping.

World leaders are set to meet Xi, and CEOs are paying to dine with him in newly cleaned up San Francisco, where CA Gov. Gavin Newsom awaited Xi and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in panting anticipation. Aside from Gov. Hair-Do, Joe Biden is conspicuously in attendance. Biden and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador are both supposed to meet with (or have met with) Xi. Biden said ahead of his meeting with Xi, “I value our conversation.” It is unclear if Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is meeting with Xi. Trudeau is in San Fran and has previously evinced an admiring and submissive attitude to China and Xi.

Twitter/Tesla/SpaceX owner/CEO Elon Musk, Alphabet (Google) CEO Sundar Pichai, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman are among the tech leaders who are likewise heading to San Francisco for a dinner where Xi will be guest of honor. Sure, the CCP is responsible for 500 million deaths and counting as history’s greatest mass murderer, and Xi oversees a brutal, West-hating dictatorship, but what’s that when there’s money to be made? All hail, Emperor Xi! Please cast your eyes upon your humble servants!

Xi Jinping’s CCP is America’s existential enemy. Xi should not be allowed in America nor treated as a legitimate, reasonable leader. The CCP threatens and bashes the U.S. on a daily basis. When do we face reality?

I’m not the only one unhappy about the APEC summit. From the Washington Examiner, Nov. 15:

Reports have surfaced that business moguls including Elon Musk, Citigroup leader Jane Fraser, Exxon's Darren Woods, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and others are paying $40,000 to sit at Chinese President Xi Jinping's table on the sidelines of the APEC summit in San Francisco.

That doesn't sit well with Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI), chairman of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party.

"It is unconscionable that American companies might pay thousands of dollars to join a 'welcome dinner' hosted by the very same CCP officials who have facilitated a genocide against millions of innocent men, women, and children in Xinjiang," Gallagher wrote to the American organizers of the dinner, which takes place Wednesday night.

Obrador is supposed to be at Biden’s dinner too. On Nov. 10, the San Francisco Standard reported that Pichai and Altman were also slated to show at APEC:

Xi will also address U.S. business leaders during a gala and reception hosted by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and the U.S.-China Business Council on Wednesday, where he is being feted as the guest of honor.

The presidents or prime ministers of Malaysia, Chile, Vietnam, and Thailand are all supposed to attend APEC.

As disturbing as this is, one cannot but admit it is hardly surprising. Elon Musk just keeps investing more in Communist China, and he has a long history of pandering to the CCP. The Biden administration has likewise shown a short-sighted eagerness in traveling to and trying to please China. Big Business/Tech CEOs by and large will compromise their alleged ethics in a second to please whichever world leader is pressuring them or likely to help them in the moment.

What we are watching is the preemptive surrender of the West. Our business and political leaders are courting a murderous tyrant’s favor to increase their own personal wealth and influence.
