The White House on Wednesday floated the possibility of imposing sanctions against the Ukraine in the aftermath of violence that has killed at least 25.
The White House weighed in on the possibility of U.S. sanctions as the European Union on Wednesday announced it would hold “extraordinary” talks on the crisis.
“We have made it clear we would consider taking action against individuals who are responsible for acts of violence within Ukraine,” said White House deputy National Security adviser Ben Rhodes. “We have a toolkit for doing that that includes sanctions.”
Obama has also offered up a quote on the violence.
