VIDEO -- Obama's Lying About His Lies Now

Giving yet another speech when there’s a website and a failing signature policy to fix, President Barack Obama changed, ever so slightly, his central Obamacare promise. The crowd of human props, party funders, entourage and hangers-on lapped up the president’s new line, which goes something like this.

“Now, if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you can keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law passed.”

Here’s an extended video of Obama’s remarks.

Everything after the “if” is new. His original line, which he spoke about two dozen times over the course of the past few years, was “If you like your healthcare, you can keep your healthcare. Period.”

No “if” and none of the stuff after that was in the original. The original was a lie — the administration knew that it wasn’t true three years ago but it stayed in Obama’s speeches anyway. Now Obama is lying about that. He’s added some fine print to what was a clear declaration.

That fine print, which negates everything he said previously, goes hand in hand with another story that broke today. CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson details how the Obama administration granted itself a waiver allowing it to launch without adequate security testing.

That puts every user’s personal information at risk. Use and you have no guarantee that your information will stay secure.

What if Barack Obama was just a corporate CEO selling a product through bold-faced lies, and it turned out that not only was his sales pitch false, but the product stood to put Americans’ identity information at substantial risk?

If CEO Obama did that, wouldn’t President Obama give speeches attacking him and making him the poster boy for everything that’s wrong with corporate America? Wouldn’t the lying itself be a prosecutable offense?
