Democrats cannot be trusted with anything.
Don’t donate to the tea party or to evangelical Christian groups — that was the message soldiers at a pre-deployment briefing at Fort Hood said they received from a counter-intelligence agent who headed up the meeting.
If you do, you could face punishment — that was the other half of the message, as reported by Fox News.
The briefing was Oct. 17, and about a half-hour of it was devoted to discussion about how perceived radical groups — like tea party organizations and the Christian-based American Family Association — were “tearing the country apart,” one unnamed soldier said, to Fox News.
Among the remarks the agent allegedly made: Military members who donate to these groups would be subject to discipline under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, the soldier reported.
Liberty Institute has stepped in to investigate. Michael Berry, one of the nonprofit’s attorneys, said he has been advising the soldier about his options — but that in the meanwhile, he said the American public should be on guard.
This is happening at Fort Hood, where just four years ago an Islamic militant terrorist killed American soldiers and civilians, and the Obama government labeled that attack “workplace violence.” Fort Hood is the heart of our forward fighting forces. It’s beyond outrageous.
The military denies that the warning was issued, but a second soldier backs up that it was, and it fits the pattern we have seen since 2009 and the “fundamental transformation” began. The vector of the warning gives away where it is coming from — straight from the top, if not in directive then in attitude, from the alleged Christian president and his cohort who have consistently persecuted Christians and done everything they can to cripple their political opposition.
We may be coming to a point when no Christian of good conscience can serve in the United States military. I don’t say that lightly, as a Christian and former airman myself. But the fact is, our government has aligned itself with the Muslim Brotherhood, it forces Christians to subsidize abortion and contraception against the religious beliefs of millions of us, it is steadily eroding the right of Christians to speak on moral issues, and now this. If the decision to enlist was before me now, as it was 20 years ago, I’m not sure that joining up to support this government would be the ethical decision.
