Washington, D.C.- PJ Media today named Bridget Johnson as its Washington, D.C., editor. Johnson has over a decade of experience reporting for numerous national publications on foreign policy, government affairs, defense, and world news. Her award-winning journalism background will be a great asset for PJ Media. Along with being the D.C. editor, Johnson will be a regular PJ columnist and will be covering the Hill, government agencies, and other issues in the nation’s capitol.

Prior to joining PJ Media, Johnson was the managing editor at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) website, where she was responsible for production of AEI.org, worked with scholars to produce content, promoted events, and shaped news coverage. Johnson also spent two years as the online editor for The Hill where she wrote The World from the Hill column and shaped the congressional paper’s web coverage.
As an op-ed columnist for the Los Angeles Daily News, Johnson spent four years writing weekly columns distributed on the New York Times News Service wire and interviewed international political figures, including Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, former Mexican President Vicente Fox, former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani, Mirwaiz Omar Farooq and various consuls general. She also worked for five years as a news desk editor at the Los Angeles Daily News. Johnson’s work has been printed in USA Today, National Review Online, the Wall Street Journal and Politico.
