Veiled misogynies
One of the modern feminist’s hands-down favorite pastimes is sifting through the proverbial sands of her labyrinthine “lived experience,” as they say, like those guys on the beach probing for trinkets with metal detectors, for titillating new forms of oppression to document.

Here, a wide-eyed, seemingly highly medicated individual decided that what the world needed was her personal list of obscure misogynies, requiring immediate societal remediation, including:
- Men only respecting women whom they find attractive;
- “Too girly” as an insult;
- Fan girls (of pop stars or whatever) being called “crazy”;
- Men buying condoms receiving praise, while girls buying condoms receive slurs about their promiscuity;
- Women not being able to go out alone at night;
- Diaper-changing stations in women's restrooms;
- Saying “you should smile more” to any woman ever under any circumstances (they really hate that).

Here we have perhaps a new one for the mentally stable feminist above to add to the list: not sufficiently celebrating progressive politicians for turning their sex organs into news items.
As David Manney covered yesterday, in what was framed in numerous corporate state media outlets as vital national news for some reason, progressive Latinx girlboss superstar extraordinaire AOC — this generation’s #ImWithHer Hillary Clinton, only with a spicy dab of Diversity™ sprinkled in — made the stunning and brave decision to record herself announcing on Instagram that she had decided to freeze her eggs.
After a lengthy monologue condemning The Patriarchy™ for its inattentiveness to women’s ovaries, she proceeded to inject herself with drugs to stimulate hers to release eggs for collection.

Ocasio-Cortez told viewers that she would be taking her shots in the dressing room before a scheduled ABC interview on Sunday…
I want you all to see that,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Because women can do anything. And I think it’s badass that I’m gonna be giving myself shots in the green room, get my glam on, roll out, talk international events, domestic policy, elections, pop out, live my life, do my thing.”
Ocasio-Cortez also showed the medicines and tools, such as syringes and alcohol wipes, used in the process, which involves injecting multiple forms of medication over a period of time that typically lasts around 10 days or more. She joked she would not be injecting herself on a live feed, quipping: “Maybe I should start an ASMR egg-freezing channel…”
During her Sunday interview on ABC, Ocasio-Cortez discussed her decision further.
“In this political environment where this administration is denying reproductive care to women across the country, from abortion rights to the ability to carry out a healthy pregnancy*, I think it’s important for us as leaders to have these conversations and share these processes, especially for working women across the country and normalize them,” she said.

Of course, AOC fans require no evidence of any alleged misogynies — or really any allegations at all; so long as the punchline is “Trump and/or conservatives bad,” the claim is taken as a given, as is her manifest performative heroism, of which her fans were in awe.
