Anti-ICE Karens invade Target for low-energy protest stunt
Here we have arguably one of the more perplexing pieces of performance art masquerading as Social Justice™ activism seen from the anti-ICE Karens thus far.

The cat lady piles a bunch of merchandise, apparently selected at random, into her Expect More. Pay Less™ Target shopping cart all the way to the brim and then rolls it to the checkout lane.
It’s show time!
With her comrade recording behind her in line, she informs the cashier that she’s “not actually going to be buying all this, we just loaded up our carts. We’re protesting the Trump administration.”
This is it — her big moment, met with an anti-climactic blank stare of brutal indifference from the cashier.
She then calls the attention of the store and reads her very short manifesto from her sheet of paper, which she presumably could have just memorized.
We walk away from fascism
We walk towards a free America
We fight for a future that belongs to all of us
Everybody in, nobody out

Unfortunately, the video cuts out there, so we can’t see the reception. But we can guess based on the low-energy vibes that the whole spectacle crumbled into dust, the cashier shrugged, nobody cared, and the Karens left empty-handed.
Sad!
Several issues:
For one thing, the protest act itself doesn’t make sense.
What does stacking a cart full of random merchandise and abandoning it at the checkout counter accomplish, exactly? Could she not have just shown up without the whole cart routine and given her stump speech?
When the camera goes off, and the 30-second TikTok content has been manufactured, somebody is going to have to painstakingly unload all of those items and wander the aisles looking for their homes — and it’s not going to be the anti-ICE Karen.
That burden will fall on some near-minimum wage, already overworked clerk who, incidentally, is statistically likely to be an ethnic — and maybe even a migrant at that.
The second issue is the target, no pun intended, of the protest.
As I covered in a previous installment of Anti-ICE Karens Gone Wild!, these freaks showed up last week to the Target headquarters with a gaggle of anti-ICE Karens cosplaying as religious leaders and sang repurposed slave hymnals about migrant rights — equally ridiculous and ineffectual, if not counterproductive.

What is Target supposed to do to rein in ICE? What’s the ask?
Targeting Target makes even less sense when you consider that the corporation is already on the protesters’ side.
In addition to being generally in favor of all manner of Social Justice™ advocacy, such as marketing transgender paraphernalia to children and championing BLM even while BLM rioters burned Target stores, the corporation is an official member of the Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber of Commerce, in turn, loves mass immigration — legal, illegal, human trafficked children, whatever!
“The answer is more migrants, please! I forgot the question,” is basically the Chamber ethos.
Via U.S. Chamber of Commerce (emphasis added):
Workforce availability is a major challenge for businesses. When we hear from businesses across America about expanding and investing in their communities, workforce is one of the biggest impediments they raise. Businesses simply can’t grow without the talent needed to do it. The president was right to focus on border security, which was a crucial first step, and we commend his leadership on this issue. Having made significant progress, now is the time to review our legal immigration system.
America's success has always relied on welcoming the most talented, hardworking people from around the world. This has been a significant driver in our nation's growth and prosperity.
Unfortunately, the current immigration system doesn't meet the needs of our economy, businesses, or workers. That’s why we’re advocating for reforms to legal immigration that will boost economic growth, create jobs, and foster innovation for all Americans. We urge Congress and the administration to implement commonsense reforms to help businesses meet their workforce needs.
The broader point this whole charade illustrates is that these people do not understand the basic dynamics that drive mass immigration — what entities are in favor of it, why entities oppose it, and why.
In their minds, if they just harass and inconvenience enough people at random with nonsensical sloganeering for long enough, then someone, somewhere in a positon of authority is eventually going to get the message and cave to their demands — sort of a shotgun approach to activism, in much the same way that they henpeck their husbands into submission.
