The Social Justice™ word-policing double standard: A case study
While researching whether or not I had social license to use the term “twink” — “a young, attractive gay man with a slim, boyish appearance… regarded as an object of gay male desire,” per dictionary.com, a truncated form of “Twinkie” — in the previous installment of Sodom and Gomorrica, I looked into whether the term is considered a slur.
As I expected, like the “n-word” — a silly euphemism white people are forced to utter in place of the actual word because we are all infantilized adults lorded over by the Karens who hijacked the culture and treat society like a kindergarten — “twink” is only a slur when someone with the wrong social status says it.
Here are the rules:
- If you are a twink (self-identified, conveniently) or have a fetish for twinks, the term is totally kosher. In fact, it’s more than okay — it’s empowering
- If you aren’t a self-identified twink or don’t want to have coitus with a twink, then it’s a slur.
So sayeth some pop superstar twink named Troye Sivan.

Troye Sivan had words for straight people who have gotten “way too comfortable” discussing gay celebrities and their sex lives — especially those who are fond of throwing around the term twink.
“This is a general note: if you say twink when you meant to say faggot, that’s still a slur,” the Rush singer said in a September 15 TikTok video. “That’s like our word. I don’t think straight people should be using that.”
Although “twink” isn’t considered a slur by most queer people when used by queer people, it can be used mockingly to stereotype, deride, and sexualize some queer men. We also can’t ignore the fact that the straight internet at large often misunderstands what the term actually means.

That’s all really fascinating and compelling.
Anyway, here’s my rebuttal: My great-grandfather didn’t die on the shores of Anzio, Italy, so that non-American twinks like you could police what words I’m allowed to use based on my membership or lack thereof in the alphabet community.

‘Non-offending’ pedophile demands attention for self
People who storm stages at public events with loaded guns, declaring their intentions to kill themselves, and then don’t actually do it are very obviously not serious about killing themselves, or they would’ve pulled the trigger.
How many moments did this guy have, at any point from the moment he ostensibly decided to end it all until the moment they was waving a gun around on a stage and chanting slogans?

He could’ve done it making coffee that morning; he could’ve whipped it out on the subway; he could’ve blown his head off in the shower with the curtain closed out of courtesy to whoever had to clean up the mess.
But no, he waited until the cameras were on to put on his show.

Obviously, being a “non-offending, no-contact pedophile” is preferable to being an offending, contacting pedophile. But restraining oneself from committing arguably the most heinous crime there is does not make one a hero; it’s like the bare minimum of being a decent person. Only in the modern West could anyone hope to gain social credit for oneself by parading around a “non-offending pedophile” flag.

Still, as crazy as the “I’m a pedophile who doesn’t diddle kids” moral flex is, it’s not entirely irrational, as there are leftists who champion these people’s causes.
