Marco Rubio eviscerates ‘foreign aid industrial complex’
In Congressional testimony recently, Secretary of State Marco Rubio — who has proven himself a highly competent cabinet member, despite my and many others’ initial misgivings, given his long past mired in The Swamp — revealed that a mere 12 cents of every “foreign aid” dollar funneled through USAID actually ever reached the nominal target:
Even with the reforms we put in place, and what we're suggesting as changes to our foreign aid, we still will provide more foreign aid, more humanitarian support, than the next 10 countries combined, than the entire OECD. And far more than China…
Now look, anytime you undertake reforms of this magnitude—and they needed to be made—you’re going to have hiccups. And you’re also going to have controversy. But these reforms had to happen.
At USAID, 12 cents of every dollar was reaching the recipient. That means that in order for us to get aid to somebody, we had to spend all this other money supporting this foreign aid industrial complex.
We’re going to find more efficient ways to deliver aid to people directly. It’s going to be directed by our regional bureaus. It’s going to sponsor programs that make a difference. And it’s going to be part of a holistic approach to our foreign policy.
Mind Blowing information from Marco Rubio

- Only 12 cents of every dollar spent from USAID went to recipients, the other 88 cents went to NGOs who pocketed the money

Having worked in the “nonprofit” sector in a previous life, I am entirely unsurprised by the fact that 92% of USAID “aid” got gobbled up by administrative costs or was simply pilfered en route to its final destination.
Welfare queen and possible TikTok satirist gets benefits cut, demands followers send cash:
I’m on the fence about whether this is parody but leaning heavily in that direction.
However, because people like this absolutely exist all across America and we are living in a gigantic self-parody of a civilization, it’s entirely possible it’s real. In a meta sense, in any case, the fact that such an individual haranguing TikTok followers for money because her Section 8 got cut is plausible is almost more relevant than whether it’s factual or not.
‘It is the taxpayers’ responsibility to support me and my children… What is the point of even having a TikTok account if your followers can’t even help you out?

Gates gives up the Climate Change™ ghost in America's Golden Age?
Bill Gates is “retooling his climate change empire” by cutting back on his organized lobbying efforts in Washington, reportedly recognizing that expending money to influence the Trump administration to cut off the energy sector for Climate Change™ to be a losing battle.

Via The New York Times (emphasis added):
Breakthrough Energy, an umbrella organization funded by Bill Gates that works on a sprawling range of climate issues, announced deep cuts to its operations in an internal memo on Tuesday.
Dozens of staff members were cut, including Breakthrough Energy’s unit in Europe, its team in the United States working on public policy issues and most of its employees working on partnerships with other climate organizations, according to three people familiar with the matter who were not authorized to speak publicly.
The change shows how Mr. Gates is retooling his empire for the Trump era. With Republicans controlling both houses of Congress and the White House, Mr. Gates calculated that the Breakthrough policy team in the United States was not likely to have a significant effect in Washington, said the people familiar with his thinking. The U.S. policy team was also one of the largest and most expensive parts of the organization.
