I’m going out on a limb and predicting that virtually every author of the following genre of liberal outrage porn — almost universally childless white women of the middle-upper-class living in Manhattan — are neck-deep in SSRIs, Xanax, Ambien, Adderall, or some combination thereof.
In a very mildly worded, milquetoast announcement after assuming the HHS mantle, RFK Jr. directed his agency in his first 100 days to “assess the prevalence of and threat posed by the prescription of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, antipsychotics, [and] mood stabilizers.”

The operative word here is “assess” — not “ban.”
But even that is a bridge too far for the great respecters of The Science™.

Via Mother Jones (emphasis added):
Hours after being confirmed as Secretary of the US Department of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. issued a statement that laid out sweeping plans for his first 100 days in office. Chief among his goals, he wrote, was to combat what he called a “growing health crisis”* of chronic disease. The document called for the federal government to investigate the “root causes” of a broad range of conditions, including autism, ADHD, asthma, obesity, multiple sclerosis, and psoriasis. Conspicuously absent was any explicit mention of childhood vaccines, which Kennedy has long railed against as the head of the anti-vaccine advocacy group Children’s Health Defense.
But the document did zero in on another one of his fixations: a class of widely prescribed drugs that treat depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. The government, he said, would “assess the prevalence of and threat posed by the prescription of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, antipsychotics, [and] mood stabilizers.”
*Note the placement, which is standard operating procedure, of “growing health crisis” and its “root causes” in quotation marks, to plant the idea in its credulous readers minds that no such health crisis exists, and is a figment of Nazis’ overactive imaginations or whatever.
Continuing:
Kennedy has repeatedly railed against what he sees as rampant overprescription of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, commonly known as SSRIs, which treat depression and anxiety and include medications like Prozac and Zoloft. As with his previous assertions about vaccines, many of his statements about these drugs are not backed by science**.
**Wrong.
Misinformation.
Reported.
When will Mother Jones have its social media accounts permanently suspended?
SSRIs, which may incidentally help some people through mechanisms that are a black box to science, are predicated on industry pseudoscience and thoroughly debunked by now.

Vanity Fair did similar pearl-clutching over the alleged threat that RFK Jr. poses to liberals’ Zoloft scripts — despite him never making any such proclamation and only pledging to study them further.
Progressive activist Francesca Fiorentini of cancerous Young Turks fame recently hijacked a Piers Morgan panel featuring the COVID scarf lady and the “Don’t Die” billionaire Bryan Johnson to fearmonger about MAHA taking her psych meds away.
An X user warned that whatever she does when RFK Jr. takes her SSRIs away (he never said anything like that) will be Kennedy’s fault — not the pharmaceutical firm’s that manufactures them nor the doctor’s who prescribed them, and definitely not hers personally.Rfk talking about banning my SSRIs I mean.. bitch whatever happens when I’m off the meds is that mfs fault… crazy bitches united ‼️🫰 pic.twitter.com/fYuaQpndee

I was under the impression that “crazy” was an ableist slur. But I guess when you are privileged enough, as it were, to write the arbitrary Orwellian language rules, you can also violate them with impunity.
Moving on, this very well-adjusted, functional individual who refuses to blink threatens/dares RFK Jr. to “come take my meds.”

💬 “Hi RFK, you wanna come take my meds? You can take them. Come on Bobby… it’ll be fun.”
These people are completely unhinged.
