A “horrendous crime” that “violates every major objective of Islam.”

That’s how Daisy Khan, founder of the Women’s Islamic Initiative in Spirituality and Equality described the recent kidnappings of nearly 300 schoolgirls by Nigerian terrorist group, Boko Haram. Despite similar denunciations of Boko Haram’s actions by Muslim religious leaders, activists, organizations, and intellectuals across the world, right-wing media are set on using the kidnappings as a justification for their Islamophobic narratives and their attempt to make Boko Haram the face of Islam.

Boko Haram is a marginalized terrorist organization operating out of Nigeria whose murky ideological goals include eliminating secular education.

The gist of these defenses of Islamic terrorists by lefties every time goes something like this: it’s an “isolated incident” or a “marginalized” group or, in the case of the Boston Marathon bombers, “they were basically loners.” They are so desperate to say “all Islamists aren’t terrorists” that they make up ways to avoid saying that the key component in Islamic terrorism is the Islamic stuff. If you press them, they’ll begin barking “Timothy McVeigh!” like a chihuahua around a mailman. In their world, the anomaly has disproportionate weight, essentially giving a free pass these last twenty years to anyone who wants to ignore the obvious, terrorism-inspiring 800 lb gorilla in the room.

It’s stupid and it’s dangerous.

The 'acid test', no Islamic mutilation pun intended, as to whether terrorist acts are Islamic or not is simple:

Did Muhammed, the founder and 'holy' prophet of Islam engage in the same sort of terror? If yes, then the terror act is Islamic, as Muhammed is the moral standard bearer and role model for all Muslims.

So...what did Muhammed do, and how do we know it? We know what Muhammed did because his words and deeds were recorded in great detail by Muslims themselves in the Islamic texts. In these texts, the Koran, Ahadith and Sirat Rasul Allah, Muslims record that Muhammed was:

A murderer, a serial rapist, a kidnapper, a slaver and slave trafficker, a sex slaver and sex trafficker, a child rapist, a looting stealing thief, an abusive misogynist, a brutal torturer, a head hacking mass decapitator, a heartless hand, tongue and foot chopping amputator, a perfidious liar, a supremecist bigot, a child murderer, a sexual deviant, a boy tounge sucking transvestite pervert, a genocidist, warlord and self proclaimed terrorist.

By any objective, civilized standard, the terror and murder of the 21st century Islamic groups and soldiers of Allah are vile and monstrous. Yet, they are indeed islamic, because the archetypal Muslim, Islam's perfect man, Muhammed did the same vile and monstrous acts and mandated his fellow Muslims to follow his 'beautiful pattern of conduct."

One thing for sure, these acts of Islamic terror and violence do NOT follow the examples and teachings of Buddha or Christ. But they DO follow the examples and teachings of Muhammed.

Terror and violence is Muhammed. Muhammed is Islam. Islam is terror and violence. It is the inescapable truth.

A commenter on MediaMatters site pointed out that, when Catholic priests abuse boys, lefties can't wait to pin that on the entire Church.

But when Islamic terror groups commit horrendous crimes, somehow, the same standards don't apply: we must not judge the group for the actions of a few.

Behind every apparent double standard is an unacknowledged single standard. The unacknowledged single standard here is hatred of Christ.

Daisy and her ilk are probably salivating over the demographic changes in Europe: the under 30 European population is 30% Muslim. Just wait until that number goes up to 50% and see how indigenous Europeans enjoy being treated like Egypt's Christian population.

Remember, only the Swiss are armed. Everyone else is forbidden self-defence.

I'll start believing in the mythical "moderate" muslim the day these mythical types vociferously and continuously denounce all the violence perpetrated by their co-religionists.

I was stationed in Iraq at Camp Ashraf in 2004. This was the home of the Mujahadeen el Khalq, an Iranian group on the US and EU terror list. They had participated in the take over of our embassy in Tehran in 1979 as well as other terror activities in Europe and the middle east. In 2004, they provided the Bush administration with some partially accurate information on the Iranian nuclear program. In return, the Bush administration granted them 'protected status' under the Geneva convention. When asked, a 'senior administration official' stated that you could be a member of a terror organization but not be a terrorist. Sometimes, terror designations (or non designations) don't reflect the activities of the organization, they are a tool for accomplishment of foreign policy.

Well, I would certainly consider the kidnapping of 200+ girls with the threat to sell them into sex-slavery to be a terrorist action.

I agree. I am glad that they have been so designated.

I love the isolated incidents defense. Like an unfortunate soul with 6 DUI's. Not his fault. They were all isolated incidents. That one was beer, the other mixed drinks and another with... well, you know. You can expect the drunk driver to make excuses. It's not his fault. When all his defenders make excuses too, why would he ever change his behavior. They ignore the one common denominator every time.

It's the same with the left and these terrorists. Keep blaming others, make excuses for the guilty ones, and call the folks pointing out the obvious 'haters'. Ignore the common denominator. Nothing changes. Repeat.

I've never understood, nor respected, the fetishistic need to shy away from the label "terrorist". Calling the baddies what they are makes a clearer distinction between them and people who share a fraction of their beliefs but aren't monsters.

Media Matters and the Left do not want a clear distinction that will define or point out the Baddies, the are also upset that the terrorism is not done by Christians or Jews.

Good reasons to refer to the scriptural (Qu'ran, Sira, Ahadith) religion as Mohammadism and terrorism as a tactic of Jihad.
The muslims who believe in Mohammadism s/b referred to as Mohammadans (eliminates the need to always specify that "not all muslims are bad").

This reminds me of those who "escaped" Iran during the Iranian Revolution. Both Muslims & Jews who did not agree with the new extremist leaders call themselves "Persian " to distance themselves from the revolutionary Muslims, who took an entire airplane hostage for over a year. Many of these Persians are now American Citizens & successful!! Same goes for the Armenian Christians who fled, & originally called themselves "Persian Armenian's", but now call themselves Americans.

People often forget to compare and contrast the philosophies of the founders of Islam and Christianity. Mohammed was much like Boko Haram. He took what he wanted. Christ always helped people.

A theory that I've heard/read a couple of places the last few days is sounding more and more plausible...that Barack and Hillary's so called foreign policy in Egypt and Libya centered around giving some land to Islamists and that Hillary and Barack would not have wanted to offend the nice Boko crowd by giving support to Nigeria's CHRISTIAN government...

After all, the theory goes, Boko Haram only exists because of persecution by the Nigerian government, paralleling the thinking of naifs like Barack as to why terrorism exists period, as a reaction to poverty and oppression.

"Daisy Khan"

Watch out for Daisy, the wife of Imam Rauf, the promoter of building the giant mosque in lower Manhattan.

Taqiyya is in his, and probably her, DNA.
