Prof. Brent Terry teaches Introduction to Creative Writing at Eastern Connecticut State University. In a lecture Monday morning, he said that Republicans are “racist, misogynistic, money-grubbing people” who want to turn the clock back and keep blacks and Latinos from voting. The Republican Party was founded to end slavery while the Democrats started a civil war to preserve slavery, but ESCU’s history department probably doesn’t teach that. He also said that if the Republicans win the Senate this fall, America will be a “very, very different kind of country” in which colleges will start closing up.

Campus Reform reports that the audio was captured by a student, who wishes to remain anonymous. ESCU has released a statement saying “Our faculty has academic freedom to conduct their classes in whatever way they choose, this is not a university matter.”

Just another day in academia.

Teaching hatred at a STATE university is not a "university matter".

In the logic of academic jihad, hating the political infidel is a matter of "style", in need of no corrective action.

Woe to the unindoctrinated mind...for the grade received will be a form of punishment and retribution for the non-believer.

The STATE institution does not care about hate crimes against "the enemy". In fact, it rewards them.

So pray tell Prof, where's the downside?

I call that a good start!

But only a start.

So much to be done - so little time left in which to do it.

The Prof says this as if it were a bad thing.

America's educational system and its evolution from 'EXCELLENCE" to "the collective!" Today, all American K-12 is dominated by Bill Ayers and his fellow travelers "Common Core" imposed indoctrination. America's vaunted Halls of Ivory, colleges and universities are permeated with professorial types spewing Fabian Socialism at every turn. America's government is an exercise in "the collective" and We The People's financial system is about as anti-capitalist as a well run "soviet." American mindlessness is now rampant and encouraged where legal use of prescription drugs, all dependency related substances (from bath salts to heroin) are allowed as cures for "alleviating Americans maladies!"
Nightly discussions by Dr. Phil of these and other societal ills, make good fodder.
Then there's the VA calamity of our "heroes" being cared for as so much "trash."
America, wake-up, yes! promised "transformation" is well under way and speeding along like a "bullet train." America will be a "two-tiered" economy. The uber rich...AND the uber poor underclass. We The People have only ourselves to applaud for this "transformation!" Wake-up. Save Our Beloved America, she's on life support. Register to vote, Join a local Tea Party. Don't waffle, take a stand. Pray. Amen.

Disgusting as this is, it does show that the Democrats and so-called liberals (fascists) are completely bankrupt. Their best arguments have been reduced to "hate Republicans."
What's frightening is that there is a total power vacuum in the Republican Party, and it looks like the Paulist factions may fill the void. The John Birchers... the Klanners... the old Taft crowd. Who seem to love the new, Nazified Russia.

What would ECSU's response have been had any appropriate criticism been directed at the current liar-in-chief by the member of their oh-so-esteemed faculty?

The first person to use the word racist is usually the racist in the room.

Hate begets hate. And when the level of hate reaches a certain point, the bullets will begin flying.

How many other Ward Churchills are out there hiding in the "creative writing" bushes ?

(lots)

It used to be an unwritten rule of honor that professors kept their personal views out and away from the classroom.

Now every dumb tom dick harry and brent sees the lectern as a pulpit to wash tripe over the captive audience.

“Our faculty has academic freedom to conduct their classes in whatever way they choose, this is not a university matter.”

The students in this class paid for instruction in creative writing. This rant had nothing to do with the subject. They did not get what they paid for. This has nothing to do with academic freedom It has to do with getting what you pay for, and that is rightfully a "university matter".
