Bonus — he starts with a quote from Jeremiah Wright!

Remember, this is the same intellectual powerhouse who last week was fervently hoping the Boston bombing would turn out to have been done by a white guy.

This is a wearisome line we’ve been hearing from the Left and Ron Paul fans for some time, but little Davey thinks this nonsense has all kinds of credibility now because Tom Brokaw subscribes to it.

This is the news from Tom Brokaw’s appearance on “Meet the Press” last Sunday. Discussing revelations that the bombing suspects may be connected to Muslim fundamentalism, he said:

“We have got to look at the roots of all of this because it exists across the whole (Asian) subcontinent and the Islamic world around the world. I think we also have to examine (America’s) use of drones (because) there are a lot of civilians who are innocently killed in a drone attack in Pakistan, in Afghanistan and in Iraq. And I can tell you having spent a lot of time over there, young people will come up to me on the streets and say, ‘We love America, but if you harm one hair on the head of my sister, I will fight you forever.’ And there is this enormous rage against what they see in that part of the world as a presumptuousness of the United States.”

As one of the establishment’s most venerated voices, Brokaw is not prone to radical statements. But in a nation that often avoids acknowledging its own role in intensifying cycles of violence, it is unfortunately considered radical to do what the NBC News veteran did and mention that our violent attacks abroad increase the chance of retributive attacks at home.

Sirota lives on a planet where MSM journalists like Brokaw are venerated. Sane people do not. Sane people read and understand history. Radical Islamic violence against the West, and the United States in particular, has been relentless since the late 1970s. Sane people know that there were no drone strikes going on then. But this country is currently polluted with people who are so desperate to be politically correct that they are forever engaged in a fantasy game called “Anything But Islam.”

And that’s what’s getting people killed.

The interesting paradox is that they should hate President Obama the most, since he quadrupled the rate of drone attacks. Brokaw didn't connect the dots? He's speaking to his own cult so they lap it up, but low info voters, to the extent they even tune in, might actually buy into this meme...

Yeah, ok, sure.

NOW..tell me why the same people are violent at a Hindu. Or at a Jew. Or a homosexual. Or at a cartoonist. Or at someone who leaves their religion.

They don't seem to like anybody who isn't...them. So, little Tommy Brokaw can go suck his thumb and worry about how to become a Muslim so he can be liked by people who hate everybody.

"Radical Islamic violence against the West ... has been relentless since the late 1970s"

Islamic violence toward the West has been relentless for centuries, to be more correct. True, there was a hiatus of a century or so while the Arabs fought among themselves, but since the West's reliance on Mideast oil from the mid-20th century on, the Islamic hordes have taken Western money and used it to gradually build a new resistance and terror organization(s).

The anti-Western bent of modern (ancient) Islam hasn't dampened a bit since the first encounters centuries ago. We just don't understand the abiding vehemence in this so-called religion of peace; they should just live and let live and forget the past like all good nations of the West do.

By Sirota's logic America is also to blame for Pearl Harbor: In response to Japan's barbaric invasion of China, America stopped selling essential war materials such as gasoline and scrap iron to Japan. That was one of the reasons Japan attacked America. So it's all America's fault for not approving of Japanese atrocities. Just as it's America's (and the West's) fault for not cooperating with Muslim barbarians.

You forgot to include the rest of Sirota's story which changes the context of what he was saying completely...

"Of course, Brokaw was merely stating the obvious: With America having killed thousands of civilians in its wars, we should be appalled by acts of terrorism — but we shouldn’t be surprised by them. We should know that violence will inevitably come from those like the Boston bombing suspect who, according to the Washington Post, “told interrogators that the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan motivated him and his brother to carry out the attack.”

Noting this is not to argue that such attacks are justified or that we deserve them. It is only to reiterate what Brokaw alluded to: Namely, that blowback should be expected in this age of Permanent War and that one way to potentially avert such blowback in the future is to try to deescalate the cycle of violence."

So we deserve a bombing from Chechnyans because of... drone strikes in Pakistan? I'm gettin' lost here. Oh! Because they're the same religion! GOT IT! So if we do something to, say, Ireland (where lots of Catholics live) we can expect a bombing from some Catholic kids from Argentina and that's OK?

Also: He was hoping it was some white TEA Partiers. Does he think we deserve a bombing from white TEA Partiers, or did he want us to get a bombing that we didn't deserve?

Is he happy that we got bombed by Muslims? I mean, if we deserve it, then it's a good thing, right?

I'm living in a world written by Lewis Carroll!

The First Barbary War was in 1801, so it's been going on for a while.

He quotes Reverend "GD America" to provide the opening quote. Brilliant! He thinks this is different from quoting Osama bin Laden because.....?

Let me get this straight: Anti-government white supremacists set off bombs in solidly conservative prairie cities. Muslim terrorists set off bombs in solidly liberal coastal cities. Therefore we should change our policies to appease the latter but not the former?

Folks like Sirota align themselves with the country's enemy's as a form of protection. They believe that in the event of a loss to a islamic or communist regime that they will be spared.

Instead, the Islamists would, without surprise to anyone except Sirota and his friends, line them up and execute them all.

Indeed, MSM clowns, polluted by university certified group-think, have to blame white people or they go into fantasy withdrawal.

Flakes like Sirota have found a nice warm place in lib sinkholes where blaming the actions of psychopaths on their victims passes for brilliance. These people are unable to think normally, using commonsense and facts. Instead, they default each time to what my radical left prof told me to think. But maybe this is all Sirota types amount to. People like him have an unfailing brilliance to make complete fools of themselves.

Since Sirota believes we deserve the terror attacks, I suggest he volunteer as the next target, since he really does deserve an attack... maybe two. In fact, maybe we need to have a kind of cultural exchange program, where we offer the Muslim terrorists any number of America hating lefties for terror victimization. It would be kind of a cross between pagan human sacrifice and a national colonic.
