This is the thing that our side still doesn’t get. Pictures and video tell a more compelling story than just text and math. The other thing many don’t understand is that Democrats are working this stuff 24/7. OFA sent this video out today. It’s a sad story about about a boy losing his father in a mass shooting. It’s also being used to bolster support for an abrogation of the Constitutional rights of legal, sane gun owners who would never commit such a heinous crime.
I’ve read numerous stories in the past several months about people who have protected themselves and saved lives because they were armed. Read. Gun rights advocates should be making videos using the people telling those stories. The money is there (NRA, Gun Owners of America, etc) and so is the distribution (conservative new media, politicians’ email lists, etc). It’s time to take advantage of that.
Here is a link to the video, for those interested in watching:

Either version of the video creates an unassailable and elegant mediapathic pro-second amendment position. Beautifully done.
Thanks for the link Buddy, How did I miss this, the video is 3 years old and this is the first time I'm seeing it. I'd call that an good example supporting this articles contention.
And it appears there are 2 more gun control videos!

I hope its something better than the usual '2a is to protect us against the government'. While it may be true it doesn't sell undecided people, in fact is probably scares some of them. That video is effective b/c it makes the view empathize with Sami. Sami deserves a vote.
How about getting that mom who protected her family with a revolve in front of a camera to tell her story? Or the 12 year old girl with a shotgun who took down those home invaders? Or the teenage boy who took out the father son team? Make 3 videos telling their stories. Have great production values, good background music. And tell viewer they deserve a vote too.
Don't think all is lost, however; a gun dealer told me last week that by *far* the highest percentage of his (and other dealers he's spoken with) first-time gun buyers in the last few weeks have been women. So, obviously, a great many women are listening to reason and logic, and not to the emotion-laden drivel on the other side.
And as it so happens, I'm going to be shooting with a couple of women this weekend, both first-time gun owners (I'm a woman myself).
Take heart, and fight fight fight - with a warm smile, of course ;-)
Mr. Constitutional Scholar (Obama), ummm! er, Constitutional Lecturer…geez, was a class TA = teaching assistant.
See, He and his Progressive New Left activists are hell-bent-for-leather in destroying the Constitution! Why? Because of the way American society is organized (Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches of government) Obama sees this as a barrier, and must be destroyed. Enter the Second Amendment. He sees this as the Constitution’s Achilles Heel.
How are they going to accomplish this? By reducing the number of rounds a magazine can hold. Many States already have Legislation pending or enacted (per 24/7 MSNBC reporting). Next? AR-15′s! See, they’ll argue an AR-15 isn’t effective with a clip holding only 10 rounds…so let’s ban them. Next will come an assault on all hand guns. Why? because AR-15′s were semi-automatic and all hand guns are semi-automatic…let’s ban them.
What’s left? ammunition. If there aren’t any automatic weapons in the hands of We The People, why supply ammunition. Ban all ammo sales. Watch and see if this isn’t how this attack on weapons in the hands of We The People doesn’t unfold in something similiar to this scenario. Pray. Amen. Flim-flammery, deception, smoke-and-mirrors!
Certainty: Greenie knows fracking and pipelines and energy and the Dollar better than you do. So what is Greenie REALLY after?

If we really wanted to eliminate mass shootings we'd be looking to ban gun-free zones rather than 30-round magazines and scary black rifles. The former have a far higher correlation with mass shootings than the latter.
Why would you not want that?
(the media having quickly adopted the newly stated 'what difference does it make?' principle)
