Gov. Rick Perry released the following statement regarding President Obama’s executive actions:
“The Vice President’s committee was appointed in response to the tragedy at Newtown, but very few of his recommendations have anything to do with what happened there.
“Guns require a finger to pull the trigger. The sad young man who did that in Newtown was clearly haunted by demons and no gun law could have saved the children in Sandy Hook Elementary from his terror.
“There is evil prowling in the world – it shows up in our movies, video games and online fascinations, and finds its way into vulnerable hearts and minds. As a free people, let us choose what kind of people we will be. Laws, the only redoubt of secularism, will not suffice. Let us all return to our places of worship and pray for help. Above all, let us pray for our children.
“In fact, the piling on by the political left, and their cohorts in the media, to use the massacre of little children to advance a pre-existing political agenda that would not have saved those children, disgusts me, personally. The second amendment to the Constitution is a basic right of free people and cannot be nor will it be abridged by the executive power of this or any other president.”






Rick Perry may not have been the best candidate in 2012, but he was the best potential President.
Now that he’s off the pain meds, I hope Perry runs again in 2016. I’d love to have a chance to vote for him.
Governor Perry ought to followup with his own Executive Action directing state agencies to not assist actions of federal agencies taken to enforce Executive Actions now booked which advance the Administration’s current policy blitz on firearms regulation. As Cuomo has sought to be a model, so Perry could be a model of a different sort.
Please quit calling them Executive Actions. Do not use the propaganda terms they do. They are Executive Orders… and these particular ones are unconstitutional. The President cannot just create law all by himself.

It is heartening to have Governor Perry and Texas providing sanity in our increasing insane world. With Texas long record of outstanding achievements during this Governor’s governance, with the philosophy he espouses … I fully concur that Governor Perry has the best potential, not only as Texas Governor but further as President. I too hope for another chance to support and vote for him!
This was a strong message, delivered by the Governor of an important state. I welcome this talk and clear thinking, and hope we can see more of the same from other Governors.
I certainly hope that all those Illinois firearms companies were listening – we’d love to see them come to Texas to due business and stop subsidizing the Chicago mentality.

Did you consider my advice to focus more on prayer and meditation? Another lance of pure anger launched into nowhere. It’s only meaning is what it says about you. That’s your response to everything you don’t agree with: anger and ridicule. How incredibly sad and lonely you must be to have to waste your time spitting with your keyboard. But don’t worry, God has a way to eventually get everybody’s attention. When PJM blocks your access, you’ll have more time for contemplation.

Lets get one thing straight just between you and I! If you’re PJM afilliated, you’re one lost puppy if you think blocking my access to PJM is some loss to me or any rational thinking person. Radical exteremist sites on the internet are a nickle a dozen and all of who claim the constitution as their mantra but yet deny the first amendment rights to anybody who has differing positions. More anger, this time about me being anonymous. Do you grind your guts over your own anonymity, too? Assumptions about ‘conservative’? Do only ‘conservative’ sites ban people who don’t address the issues of a column, but instead react with anger and ridicule? No, they would ban you for being unpleasant, vain, and angry; not contributing anything to the dicussion; not willing to engage in dialogue; not willing to reexamine your own beliefs. You admit you come here to spend time at a site that is ‘radical extremist’. Why spend time with people you hate? That sounds really sick. Don’t you have somebody to love? In the final analysis, you reap what you sow. Just expressing my concern for you. By the way, private sites can choose associations. Only the government is limited by First Amendment regarding censorship. Private associations aren’t censorship. If people don’t want to talk to you because they don’t like you insulting them and treating them in a condescending manner, do you complain they’re censoring you? That’s controlling, and more vanity and anger. But you must be really unhappy, because it’s true we generally treat others about as well as we treat ourselves.
Look! I’ve voted on the republican ticket since 1954. I happen to have great respect for the traditional party and its traditional platforms. I spent 34 years of my life (active and Reserve) defending our constitution and the freedoms its grants to every individual of every stripe and belief. I come here to PJM and see lots of vile personal attacks on those who are republican but have differing views on some issues. I’ve yet to see even one of your anonymous responses to any of those people on here. Then you invoke Gods name in you chastizing of me as if you’re speaking on behalf of God. Private associations aren’t censorship.” Every american citizen and every person on american soil have the constitutional grant and protection for First Amendment rights — remember that little thing about “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…” for which you claim ‘you’ have the sole right to deny ones granted constitutional liberty of free expression in Gods name should a person(s) have differing opinions. I would suggest that your condemnations and judgements in this instance have no foundations or validity in either the constitution nor in accordance with Gods word. Maybe it is you who needs to spend more time in prayer and less time condemning and threatening others!
