The Obama regime, which last week gutted the work requirements in the bipartisan 1996 welfare reform, has been in cahoots with the Mexican government to increase food stamp usage. They claim the program isn’t intended to give welfare to illegal aliens, but according to Sen. Jeff Sessions, some states are not checking up on that. They’re just taking potential welfare recipients at their word that they’re eligible to get free stuff.
USDA has an agreement with Mexico to promote American food assistance programs, including food stamps, among Mexican Americans, Mexican nationals and migrant communities in America.
“USDA and the government of Mexico have entered into a partnership to help educate eligible Mexican nationals living in the United States about available nutrition assistance,” the USDA explains in a brief paragraph on their “Reaching Low-Income Hispanics With Nutrition Assistance” web page. “Mexico will help disseminate this information through its embassy and network of approximately 50 consular offices.”
The partnership — which was signed by former USDA Secretary Ann M. Veneman and Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs Luis Ernesto Derbez Bautista in 2004 — sees to it that the Mexican Embassy and Mexican consulates in America provide USDA nutrition assistance program information to Mexican Americans, Mexican nationals working in America and migrant communities in America. The information is specifically focused on eligibility criteria and access.
The goal, for USDA, is to get rid of what they see as enrollment obstacles and increase access among potentially eligible populations by working with arms of the Mexican government in America. Benefits are not guaranteed or provided under the program — the purpose is outreach and education.
Obama can and will say that he inherited this rape of the US taxpayer, which is true, blame Bush as is appropriate here, but Obama also promised to go line by line and get rid of programs that we didn’t need to be paying for. Do we need to be borrowing money from China to work with the Mexican government to get more non-Americans on the US dole? Really?
According to Sessions’ office, the Congressional Budget Office was unable to estimate how much money the SAVE amendment would have saved because the federal government does not know how many ineligible illegal immigrants have accessed SNAP.
Mexico is the only country with which USDA has a nutrition assistance outreach partnership agreement.
Well, Canadians don’t need it. They’re richer than we are now, per capita.
This appalling thing needs to be shut down, now.

Can it get any crazier? I dont’ know, this is pretty crazy and it is doubly depressing to see that it emanates from the Bush era.
I was discussing our state of affairs with a nurse a few weeks ago, and mentioned that I thought only the complete financial collapse of the country would allow us to start over and bootstrap ourselves to once again reach a land of sensibility. She confessed that she herself had been secretly wishing for a giant electromagnetic pulse to bring about the same starting over.
I am not sure we are wrong. I guess I will plan to attend my next local preppers meeting.

I am sure you are wrong if you think an EMP would be a good thing; it would lead to the death of millions.
I think you are right about a financial collapse; key to this would be the substitution of local script currency to develop and maintain local economies.
I have heard many tea partiers talk about a 100 year conservative “Long March Through The Institutions” to repair this country. I do not think it would work. Progressives have done their long march and have succeeded because Progressivism is a popular secular religion. Progressives have infected both political parties. Progressives get in power and use their positions to reward other Progressives with your tax dollars. They also infect the school systems to proselytize their religion to the young. It is a vicious cycle. True conservatism is not a religion and it does not support distribution of tax dollars to conservatives. This gives conservatism a distinct disadvantage in politics.
I think that you are correct in thinking that this country needs to fail before it can get better. There are way too many things wrong with this country for a gradualist approach to work. Secession by red states may be the gentlest way. Perhaps irrelevant: our first civil war resulted in about 2% of the US population dead. The same ratio today would mean about 6 million deaths.
That just warms my heart. The best part is, there are working class folks out there struggling to make ends meet, will probably never get a chance to retire, don’t qualify for any assistance, some getting their properties confiscated for being unable to pay their taxes or mortgages, unable to afford college for themselves or their children or drowning in student loans; while their tax dollars are redistributed to non-citizens. Awesome.
Just turn out the lights when the Third World gets here. It’ll save on generators til the Age of Copper returns.
They already stripped the Age of Copper- it’s at the salvage yard.
What’s the going price on Aztec obsidian?
Califa (California) is Aztlan now. Looks like Bo just wiped out Republican majorities in the rest of the Southwest.
James “Q-ball” Carville predicted, shortly after Obama’s election, that we were in for 40 years of One Party rule. After 2010, many concluded that the Ragin Cajun was off by 38 years. But not so fast. What Carville anticipated (yet with poor timing) was the importation and political recruitment of millions of new Democrat low-income voters. (They won’t be the ones paying any new taxes.)
Therefore, even if Obama loses in November, he may well practice a “scorned earth” lame duck period of open borders & open prisons. Beware.
