Apparently, that “place” is the most powerful job in the world, because that’s where their support would put him.
On Martin Bashir’s television program this afternoon, Democratic strategist and MSNBC analyst Karen Finney said that Republicans are supporting Herman Cain because of his race:
“One of the things about Herman Cain is, I think that he makes that white Republican base of the party feel okay, feel like they are not racist because they can like this guy,” Finney said. “I think he giving that base a free pass. And I think they like him because they think he’s a black man who knows his place. I know that’s harsh, but that’s how it sure seems to me.”
“Thank you for spelling that out,” Bashir responded.
Video at the link. I doubt there’s a bigger hack perpetrating journalism on TV today than Martin Bashir. He’s stiff, he’s awkward, he’s entirely unfair and consistently incapable of original thought. His leaden thoughts clang around the set, cracking the floor tiles but having no impact at all on the world outside his studio. He brings nothing interesting but a British accent, and we have X Factor and American Idol to give us that in a far more entertaining format if we want it. And it’s evident that for many many Democrats like Karen Finney, there is literally nothing else in the entire universe to talk about besides race and calling people racists. In Cain’s case, you’d get it either way: Don’t support him for any reason and you’re a racist. Do support him with wild enthusiasm and you’re still a racist. It doesn’t have to make sense. Finney seems to be fairly young, but time has already moved way past her. This stuff just doesn’t work anymore but she isn’t smart enough to come up with anything new.
And yeah, they’re going to do this all the way through next year’s election and into infinity. It’s all they’ve got. That’s the bad news. The good news, this really is all they’ve got.
So if I wear a Herman Cain mask to a Halloween party does that make me a racist? or are the people who like it, more racist? What if Herman shows up at an OWS camp and sparks a riot? Is he a racist for using his race to spark the riot, or are the rioters racist for calling him a racist, while rioting over his race? This is fun. But it gives me a headache. Think I’ll just have a beer and watch the ball game…
As Ace of Spades pointed out, Karen Finney self-identifies as black, even though she looks like an albino at a suntan convention. She said in an article she herself wrote that her mother was white, but her father was “African-American,” though of very mixed-race heritage. Seems like she has re-animated the ancient racist “one drop rule,” but in reverse: Once used during Jim Crow times to negatively identify anyone as black who was as little as 1/64th of African heritage, now it is used to positively identify you as someone who can say racist things against other blacks, just as long as you yourself are as little as 1/64th black.
And the world keeps turning.
Apparently Ms. Finney has forgotten Slick Willy’s comments in 2008 about how, in normal circumstances, then-candidate Obama would be fetching him coffee.
Does anyone actually watch MSNBC? Personally, I have never watched a second of it, but then I dont watch much television. From all the examples I have seen of their programs and opinions they appear to be a parody.
Herman knows his place? Finney draws that conclusion based on what? The woman isnt fit to fetch his coffee.
Sure..I’ll click on it for a few minutes at a time..but only a few minutes at a time and very rarely. If I watch it for too long while watching someone like Rachel Maddow or Chrissy”I’ve got a tingle up my leg” Matthews..I end up wanting to hurl the remote at my tv. Which is bad for the tv so I have to sit on the urge.
Stay tuned, my friends. The left will burn, pillage and create mayhem at the behest of the Obama White House. They’ll demand that Clarence Thomas recuse himelf in the Obamacare Supreme Court argument all the while resisting our calls for Elena Kagan to recuse herself.

I think the Republican Party should pick one of the many outrageous facts/comments about the Obama Administration EACH WEEK and keep hammering at these socialists. Put them on the defensive all the way to 2012. There’s certainly enough ammo available.

Finney is demonstrating one of the first rules of logical thinking: if one states authoritatively and unequivocally something they couldn’t possibly know the truth of, in this case reading the minds of millions of Conservatives, they are in fact only revealing what it is they WANT to believe; in this case that Republicans are hyper-conscious of race as well as being racists.
In fact Finney is only tipping her own hand and that of the liberal Left in general, which has adopted the black American elite’s view of a world only seen through a dimension of race and projecting that onto people by skin color, which is itself racist, who evince no real or overarching interest in such things.
This is the classic symptom of a third-rate intellect and also a demonstration of who it is that is running this country: morons with a philosophy that is centered around race who themselves operate from an intellectual space that is bigoted. Just look at the simple-minded drawings at OWS that depict the ‘bad guy’ as wearing a shirt and tie.
