Obama Talks to Netanyahu—Did Bibi Tell Barry to Stuff It?

July 10th, 2014 - 10:08 pm

Well, maybe not stuff it, but finally someone may be standing up to America’s ultra-reactionary, fumbling, paleo-narcissistic and now hugely unpopular president — and his name is Benjamin Netanyahu.  If we are to believe the Jerusalem Post,  Bibi should be the leader of the free world.  Arrivederci, Barry. Take your favorite nine iron and head off to Maui or the Vineyard or wherever you want to be with our blessings — as long as you stay there.

From the JPost:

The United States is prepared to facilitate a cessation of hostilities between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, US President Barack Obama told Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu by phone today.

In the call, Obama “reiterated the United States’ strong condemnation of continuing rocket fire into Israel by Hamas and other terrorist organizations in Gaza and reaffirmed Israel’s right to defend itself against these attacks,” the White House said in a readout of the conversation.

But Netanyahu has ruled out a ceasefire with Hamas in the short-term. On the contrary, the Israeli leader has vowed a series of additional stages to Operation Protective Edge—his government’s response to continued rocket fire on Israeli towns and cities, after Hamas, a terrorist organization, stockpiled tens of thousands of rockets in the coastal territory over the last several years.

A ceasefire is “not even on the agenda,” Netanyahu told members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, just hours before his call with the US leader.

Let’s hope Netanyahu does not fall prey to pressure and keeps on keeping on because someone sometime has to stand up to Islamofacism or it will continue its unstopped march across the Middle East and beyond.  It certainly won’t be Obama, who has allowed violent jihadists to flourish across Iraq, Syria and Iran — not to mention North Africa, Nigeria, the Sudan, Pakistan, Indonesia, the Philippines and now the Islamic State (aka ISIS) installing their own caliphate.  Obama previously tried to help shore up Islamofascism in Egypt (Morsi) and Turkey (Erdogan). And all the while he  has been chasing a nuclear deal with the monstrous mullahs of Iran who want nothing more than the extinction of the West and a caliphate of their own to compete with the Sunnis of ISIS.

I’m confused. Weren’t “progressives” supposed to be for religious freedom and opposed to misogyny,  homophobia and theocracy? Oh, well.  Maybe I was misinformed.

Enough already.  Bibi, it’s up to you.  Western civilization’s last stand.

We should all be encouraging Netanyahu now, lining up behind him, no matter what our smaller biases. He needs friends at home and abroad.  So do the Israeli soldiers. Even though I am not religious, I will be praying for them.

I will also be applauding U.S. senators from both sides of the aisle who understand the gravity of the situation, how much is now at stake for the long term.  Further from the JPost:

“There is no moral equivalency between the self-defense actions of Israel and the barbaric actions of Hamas,” Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) said on Thursday. Along with Robert Menendez (D-New Jersey), Kelly Ayotte (R-New Hampshire) and Chuck Schumer (D-New York), Graham is now proposing a resolution that would “reaffirm the United States’ support for Israel’s right to defend its citizens” and “ensure the survival” of the Israeli state.

The resolution also calls on the Palestinian Authority, funded in large part by Congress, to end its unity government with Hamas, and condemns the firing of hundreds of rockets at Israel as “unprovoked.”

“Israel is entitled to take the steps necessary to protect itself from destructive rocket attacks from Hamas that are aimed at all Israeli civilians, regardless of their religion,” said Schumer. “This resolution supports Israel as it protects itself in a manner that values the safety of Palestinian civilians even as its own civilians face indiscriminate attacks from terrorists.”

The Congress can start by superseding the reactionary Obama administration and defunding the Palestinian Authority until it breaks with Hamas.  In fact, they should defund it forever until the PA recognizes Israel as a Jewish state. This is the moment.  Enough appeasement of barbaric Islamic societies.  Let’s start believing in ourselves.

Obama seems to share the position of Leftists and bien-pensants all over the world: Why can't those brutal Israelis let the poor Palestinians kidnap and murder Jews in peace?

How long will it take for Americans to realize that we have a manchurian candidate president? Bibi does not now or has he ever given a flip what this bozo thinks about anything. Nor should he. This man just happens to live in the real world. You know where people really die or could die in large numbers. Also he is surrounded by 200 million people who are indifferent to his demise no matter if it is from Hamas rockets, Iranian nukes or any other catastrophe that might happen to Israel. Finally the UN and the rest of the world could also care less about this pesky annoying country who like a cat keeps surviving even when we tie up the canvas bag, weight it with a stone and deep six the bag in the deepest lake we can find. Somehow they survive and they just happen to be the only ally we have in the region. In spite of this dirt bag president we have.

Bibi has never stood up to Obama, and he didn't in the call. To stand up to Obama is to call him a Jew-hater to his face, and to tell him to go to hell. Nothing less than that. If you tell me Bibi can't afford to do it, that's debatable. Since Obama has Hamas's back and Iran's, the truth is we have nothing to lose. Something most all Jews do not understand. Read C Glick's latest piece for just why Hamas is attacking now. And how Obama has all but given the green light to Hamas and their allies Fatah.

As Palestinian civilian casualties mount (yes human shields), Obama will continue to pressure Bibi to call off the air attacks, threatening us by cutting off military aid and whatever else he can do (at the UN for example), and Bibi going by past capitulations will meekly comply, and Hamas will declare victory. And this is only the beginning, things are rapidly falling apart.

"Even though I am not religious, I will be praying for them."
So, to whom will you pray? Your dog, your cat. Maybe a picture of Reagan. It's really sad you don't know Him who hears all prayers. I will pray to Him that He will reveal Himself to you in a way that cannot be denied.

Roger, of all the things that you have written, this is one with some of the most relevance and clarity. It is not with abstraction that you are dealing with. Perhaps, I could say it another way: you hit the nail on the head.

Israel has waited, and now they are taking action.

It may be obvious to many, but just in case: why would anyone expect Israel to negotiate - or even talk to - Hamas, when their very charter demands the destruction of Israel.

The simple mindedness of the sheep who support liberal politics always astounds me. I try, but for life of me, I can't make any sense of it. They worship these lying, philanderous fools until they become afraid, enough, for their lives because they start to see the shipwreck their unthinking votes have created. Then we get a conservative government but only long enough for us to, just barely, clean up the liberal mess and make a semblance of financial order. As soon as this happens, the sheep start listening to liberal lies, again, and resume their bleating. Thus, we get another liberal government. Conservatives, as the perfectl responsible governers that we are, seemingly, have always been the maintenance and clean-up crew for the sheepish mentality of the masses.
This is frustrating to the hilt, yet, it may just be the simple natural economics that is democracy. Much like the weather cycle we are
l experiencing that liberals have made a religion of called 'Global Warming'.
If conservative government was allowed to reign forever, as much as this idea seems like a taste of the governance we'll experience in the second coming, it's very possible that, left to mankind we would become fascists. As a consideration, does democracy require (in our fallen state) this balancing act. After all, when we as Conservatives make everything start to work, it's always complacency that brings about ruin amongst all the good.

I am hated when I try to make nice.
I am hated when I show restraint.
I am hated when I feed, shelter, house and finance them.
What changes when I knock them up'side the head and send them to claim the virginatorium?

Would someone explain to me why we are supplying Gaza with food, water, gas, and electricity while they are shooting missiles at us (me!)? I heard our Supreme Court is responsible. If so, they are even more anti-Semitic that I thought.

There is something that must be said and repeated often. This conflict has proven, once and for all that, for the Palestinians, Jerusalem is not a holy city. You don't bomb a city you consider holy. And for those who claim that the city is holy to the Palestinians that live here? Here is proof that that is a lie as well.
