‘Kauft Nicht bei Chick-fil-A’
How quickly does the Left move from “tolerance” (for one of its transgressive ideas) to fascism? This fast:
All of a sudden, biting into a fried chicken sandwich has become a political statement.
Chick-fil-A, the fast-food chain known for putting faith ahead of profits by closing on Sundays, is standing firm in its opposition to gay marriage after touching off a furor earlier this month.
Gay rights groups have called for a boycott, the Jim Henson Co. pulled its Muppet toys from kids’ meals, and politicians in Boston and Chicago told the chain it is not welcome there.
It’s only been two months since President Obama came out of the closet as a supporter of gay marriage, but that’s all it took for the Regressives to move from pleading for acceptance to organizing boycotts and using thug political muscle to try and ruin a private business. And why?
The latest skirmish in the nation’s culture wars began when Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press that the company was “guilty as charged” for backing “the biblical definition of a family.” In a later radio interview, he ratcheted up the rhetoric: “I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.’”
That fired up gay rights advocates, including a group that waged a campaign against the company in recent years by publicizing $3 million in contributions that the Cathy family foundation has made to conservative organizations such as the Family Research Council.
“This solidifies Chick-fil-A as being closely aligned with some of the most vicious anti-gay voices in the country,” said Carlos Maza of Equality Matters.
When the mask drops on the Fairness & Tolerance crowd, it’s never a pretty sight. Expect a lot more of this should Obama somehow win a second term. And speaking of socialist boycotts against commercial establishments with religious principles with whom the rabid Left disagrees…

Tomorrow I have some errands to run and am looking forward to having a nice lunch at Chick-Fil-A.
I think ‘you people’ should eat there early and often. Eat there three and four times a week. Not being the healthiest of dietary choices, consumption of their food has the potential of wiping out an entire GOP voting demographic in no time.
You know, hoping for the untimely deaths of innocent people who disagree with you on political issues does not make you or your side look particularly good.
Truly despicable comment. Please do not feed the trolls. Thank you.
Healthier than eating at McDonald’s, or Burger King, or Taco Bell, or any number of places I’ve seen plenty of diehard liberals eating. Heck, I’ve seen what those people consider a balanced meal with all their “organic” foods including unsprayed vegetables (which means they are more likely to be infected by local insects) and organic beef which means they weren’t vaccinated and so carry plenty of nasty stuff. Or straight vegan meals that don’t provide near enough vitamins and protein for a daily diet.
Hardly eat fast food, but when it comes to a choice Chik-Fil-A is probably the healthiest of the unhealthy choices.
hey, Cynical Wonder,
If I eat there, does that mean I won’t be around “you people”?
You mean like having Abortions aren’t going to thin the Liberal Herd. Difference is all tax payers are forced to pay for these choices.
Had Chick-Fil-A for dinner last night. Probably have it again this weekend. Good food and always good service.
The make a very good breakfast as well. Their Chicken Breakfast Burrito is outstanding.
Standing room only in Houston today, with drive-through traffic extending onto the freeway.
No Chick-fil-A here but I would eat despite not being a fan of chicken. I’m glad to see other people are seeing and referencing my first thoughts as to what all of this reminded me of.
Looked it up today, 160 mile round trip to the closest CFA but it will be worth it as a gesture of support.
Had Chik-Fil-A for lunch today.
I bet they love this free advertising.
I’m with you on that. “Free advertising,” indeed. I’m betting that Chik-Fil-A will come out ahead on this one.
Fer sure, the Chik-Fil-A on the food court of my local mall was doing a bang-up business this afternoon.
I would absolutely love it if Dan Cathy does a TV ad a month or so from now noting how much business has improved and thanking Americans for voting with their pocketbooks.
That would really have the pink triangle armband Nazis and their enablers gnashing their teeth.
Look, here’s the thing. The “intolerance gestapo” fail to see the intolerance of their own position. The problem is that the intolerance gestapo have gained civil authority, in bureaucracies and elected office all across the nation. The lemon-aid stand even, a traditional — and legitimate — vehicle for young people to LEARN the value of risk and reward, hard work and profit, is now being determined by busy-body low-level totalitarians to be DANGEROUS to public health.
A Stalinistic and despotic viewpoint if ever there was one.
The lemon-aid stand? It is in fact a very REAL THREAT to the statist, those drones maniacally committed to tamping down any hint of self-sufficeincy and self-reliance among the populace. But what is worse is that distracted Americans have let this poisonous hydra perpetuate itself all across America.
Wake up. We are in a new Cold War. The attack on Chick-Fil-A demonstrates in stark terms how far away from our Founding freedoms many Americans have moved. These noxious and odious intolerance gestapo “authorities” seek our subjugation while undermining legitimate business concerns.
The law, in the end, will make mincemeat of these low-testosterine imbeciles.
Well, there’s the Alex’s Lemonade Stands (C). Seems like a good thing, right? A kid opens a lemonade stand to earn money for kids with cancer? Then the corporate do gooders get a hold of it and turn it into a non-profit brand name to draw attention to their products on the store shelves. Then, soon after, coincidentally, we find kids across the country with lemonade stands not affiliated with the Alex campaigns being rousted by the authorities.
Used to be corporations simply dug into their pockets to help kids with cancer. Now we need to simultaneously exploit them and rob others of their own ventures into the world of kid sized business.
Irrelevant.
My family and I are having Chik-Fil-A every day for the next two weeks. Bring your boycott. I am so damn tired of this fascist crap. You do not have the right to use the power of government to shut down every opinion you do not like. I for one am getting pretty sick of it.
I live in Illinois, along with Washington, DC, New York City, Los Angeles, one of the most politically corrupt cities in the nation – in the world. Corrupt city officials, corrupt ward bosses, it’s so corrupt that even the corruption is corrupt.
I do not visit or tour or vacation in that slum ward on the Lake. Why? It does not respect my Constitutional rights – not the new rights to be gay or black or transgender, but those expressed in the Bill of Rights.
The GREAT I-AM RAHM has obviously withdrawn the right to freedom of speech and of conscious. By reacting as an ass, he denied the the Chick-Fil-A president his right to express himself peacefully without fear of coercion. The GREAT I-AM RAHM threatened to deny the owner a permit to build a restaurant in the little town by the lake. Isn’t that coercion? I don’t believe the president of CFA has denied anyone service at his establishments because of race, color, creed, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnic affiliation, etc. Isn’t The GREAT I-AM RAHM guilty of a federal offense. Do we not all still have a right to express ourselves without fear or intimidation.
Is this another of our basic rights, like the second amendment, the government is whittling away, if not by act of Congress, by simply imposing a decree and then waiting to see, like a child with its parents, if there is any opposing reaction?
With the acquiescence of this Congress, the executive branch has done more to negate the citizens only safeguard, step by stealthy step. And once the rights are usurped, we will not get them back.
Thank you! It’s about everyone’s rights. Everyone has them and everyone can express them. that is why I fought for my country and will again in November.
Rahm-bo may pontificate, puff out his chest and preen like a peacock, but there is already a Chik-fil-A downtown at Water Tower Place.
Even the enlightened urban masses need a little bit of southern fast food.
Do we know better than God what constitutes a marriage? The Patriarchs had multiple wives. So did David Solomon, and other kings. Jesus never mentioned polygamy. The only change he made concerning Old Testament laws concerns divorce:
Matthew 5:31-32
31 It was also said, “Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce. 32 But I say to you that every one who divorces his wife, except on the ground of unchastity, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
If we can change the laws given by God and ban polygamy, and if we can ignore the innovation made by Jesus outlawing divorce, why can’t we introduce gay marriage?
Because to do so ignores the real purpose of the institution, namely, procreation. No one expects the godless to understand or respect the tradition because destruction of tradition is the name of their game. They love setting up the profane on the alter, and mocking an institution and God they obviously despise. Like the depraved of Sodom, they are in your face and proud of their sin. Nothing new here. Jesus also explained the polygamy of the past as being a result of the “hardness of their hearts”. This hardness is on full display in the vileness toward a business for simply holding fast to their conviction. You can almost see the coming gas chambers and firing squads from here!
If the purpose of marriage is procreation, then you must disapprove of the marriage of elderly people.
Leviticus 20:13 commands us to kill homosexuals. Jesus never said anything on the subject, meaning he let the commandment stand. Exodus 22.18 commands us to kill witches. Jesus let that commandment stand as well. Innocent people accused of witchcraft (there is no such thing as a witch) were executed until the 18th century. Can we learn morality by accepting every word of the Bible with blind faith, no matter what it says?
The principle of the procreative ability is not dependent on one actual ability to procreate. Any male/female relationship carries the possibility in principle. In no way can a male/male or female/female relationship fit this description even in principle.
Try taking a look at Matthew 19:4-6 and tell me again how Jesus did not say anything about the matter.
There’s no such thing as a witch? Really? Talk to my sister in law about that.
She calls herself a witch, studies Wicca rituals, and has her own Book of Spells. Not to mention that there’s quite a few websites for witches on the ‘net.
Try and keep up, George. Just because you don’t know any, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
I know some Wiccans. They are entitled to their beliefs, of course. Nevertheless, there is no such thing as a witch. The people burned alive in Europe and hanged in Salem, Massachusetts, were innocent–necessarily.
No Devil Worshippers or Pagan Heathens back then, no siree! That is a modern phenomenon says George.
George is impervious to rational thought. He has the socially acceptable narrative down pat though, which should be helpful in navigating the New Left Zeitgeist free from persecution.
Ah, ok. So even though *she* calls herself a witch (not as a self-deprecating insult, but as a statement of her religious beliefs), and she hangs out with others who call *themselves* witches (also as a statement of their religious beliefs), and they belong to witch’s groups discussing witchcraft (may or may not be called a coven, but often are), and patronize stores that sell articles specifically designed for witchcraft rituals, and so forth…..they don’t exist because YOU say so.
Got it.
Not being very diverse or accepting there, George.
“there is no such thing as a witch”
madame pelosi?
Please.
Equating Ms (botox) Pelosi to witches is an insult to witches.
How can you say that believing procreation to be the reason for marriage means we oppose the marriage of old people? Was not Abraham 100 and his wife Sarah 90 when they conceived Issac?
I don’t know if it is accurate, but I’ve heard that “witch” in the bible refers to “poisoner”, not a manipulator of the supernatural.
That would make sort of sense, as someone regarded as a “witch” today would back then be someone of another religion, and refered to as being of that other religion.
“Because to do so ignores the real purpose of the institution, namely, procreation.”
That may be the religious purpose for marriage, but procreation is not a condition of marriage required by the state to issue a marriage certificate, so it is irrelevant in that regard. Since procreation is not a condition of marriage required by the state then there is no basis on which to deny a marriage license. Indeed, many heterosexual couples don’t have children and many same sex couples do, so the whole notion of procreation is foolish.
Foolish you say,
then please explain for the foolish among us what exactly is the states motive in being involved in the institution? Other than a means to hold parents legally accountable for their posterity, I see no motive for the state to be involved at all.
A correction: Same-sex couples can’t have children *together*. Whether they adopt, or use a sperm donor or a surrogate mother, they’re not procreating *with each other.*
“If the purpose of marriage is procreation, then you must disapprove of the marriage of elderly people.”
Incorrect.
Why, for millions of years, human and humanoids procreate? Children is the basic Social Security. We already see in Europe and later in the US a crisis of
Reading the Ancient Greeks – whose culture was pretty heavy on homosexuality – on the issue of marriage is quite instructive.
First, they put a minimum age (25 years-old) and maximum age (about 40yo) on women bearing children because they observed that young goats and cows give birth often to deformed baby goats and calves.
Second, they recommend an age range for both men and women to marry.
Third, if a man is single between the age of 25 and 50 and there is a woman willing to marry him and he refuses, said man has to pay a fine to the woman’s family, loses stature in society and the children of the polis are told to disrespect him.
Fourth, the Ancient Greeks did not recognize homosexual marriage.
Fifth, the elderly couples are still considered married for mutual companionship; said couples were married at the allowed young age, and they may have been childless. The childless couple was not ostracized. They can adopt under special circumstances: they can adopt healthy excess infants from another polis. The Greek cities (polis) all had a zero growth population: any couple with an excess pregnancy need to abort and if somehow the baby is still born healthy, a childless couple from another polis may adopt.
The institution of homosexual marriage violates the dearly beloved Progressive/Socialist ideal of equality: each child has a mother and a father and to enforce strict equality, each child should be raised by a heterosexual couple. Now, you say: “But, but, but what if one of them dies?” Well, transfer the child to be raised by another heterosexual couple!
The new Testament says nothing about homosexuality or polygamy, or bestiality. So making out with sheep should be fine.
Old Testament:
Exodus 22:19
Leviticus 18:23
Leviticus 20:16
Deuteronomy 27:21
Sorry, I didn’t complete the above comment.
The above is in reference specifically to bestiality. Both the human and the animal were to be put to death.
Took about 30 seconds to find those four references.
Wow, I’ve seen some people misquote scripture to avoid context, but you, my brother, take the unleavened bread.
Matthew 19:3 – And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful to divorce one’s wife for any cause” 4 He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’ 6 So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
This is also why Jesus never needed to address homosexuality outright. It was already forbidden under Jewish Law, but this scripture lays out how Jesus declares what God ordained for proper human existence. If you say, don’t murder, there is no need to specify be it with a knife, gun, or explosives. Well, until lawyers and politicians get involved and start looking for loopholes, which consequently is just what the Pharisees were trying to do.
What the bible says, or doesn’t say, about marriage and homosexuality is not the point. The point is that leftists in power will always use that power to crush those they can’t control. We must not lose the focus on this historic fact.
I am reminded of a Glen Beck interview with a retired FBI agent who, back in the 1970s had infiltrated the Weather Underground — the leftist terrorist group who committed a number of bombings as well as murder to create their vision of paradise on earth.
He said that one day, during a discussion on policies they would impose once they toppled America and shredded the Constitution, the progressives sitting with him declared there would be a need to establish “re-education camps” in the western deserts to reprogram American “bitter clingers.”
The agent then asked what they planned to do with those who refused to be “re-educated.” He was told that the only solution would be the final solution, i.e., such recalcitrants would be “liquidated.”
“I then asked them, ‘How many people do you think you would need to kill?’ Without blinking, they told me, ‘We estimate 25 MILLION.’ They all nodded in agreement that an estimate of 25 million would be about right.”
When I heard this interview, I couldn’t help but think of our President and the associations he has had all his life with people who think like this.
Talk about the “Big Chill”!
The ruling elites have always figured that they alone get to decide what happens to the great unwashed masses.
The Japanese Imperial General HQ figured that to come to more favorable terms in a cessation of hostilities (should the home islands actually be invaded by the allies), had to inflict significant casualties on the enemy. The civilian populace (who were to be their wartime reserves) would have to suffer around 20 million casualties (killed, captured, injured, or missing) resisting the invasion.
That’s a pretty staggering number, considering that Japan’s population at the end of the war was estimated somewhere between 70-78 million.
Don’t you just love it when people who haven’t the slightest clue what they’re talking about quote the Bible in support of their position? If you look carefully, God never approved of polygamous marriages. He instituted marriage with Adam and Eve as a one-man, one-woman relationship; each is to help bear and raise children, care for and love the other, and comfort each other in their old age. God tolerated polygamy in certain situations, just as He tolerated a lot of things that He didn’t necessarily approve of, but you will notice that the patriarchs with multiple wives tended to get in a lot of trouble because of it. The results of Abraham’s liaison with Hagar still trouble the Jews to this day, Solomon’s troubles due to his multiple wives (political marriages) are legendary. The Old Testament is the story of God’s work through the nation of Israel, despite their sinfulness and infidelity. We are not to view all of the actions and conditions of the Old Testament as positive examples, much less commands; many times we are supposed to read them as warnings on what not to do! We are also supposed to gain comfort by reading how God loved and cared for His people despite their sinfulness.
BTW, marriage – by definition – is a contract between one man and one woman. She agrees to bear his children and care for his household; he agrees to provide for and protect her and her children and to recognize them as his heirs. Polygamy is a condition of multiple simultaneous marriages, not a single marriage with multiple participants, as is evidenced that a man can divorce one wife of several (or a woman in a polyandrous marriage one husband) without effecting the rest.
Show me in the book of Leviticus where polygamy is permitted. The only Old Testament patriarch who was recorded as having multiple wives was Jacob and that was because his Uncle Laban cheated him (after having Jacob work for seven years in return for Laban’s younger daughter, Rachel, when the time came to deliver on his promise, Laban cheated Jacob by substituting his older daughter, Leah, for Rachel in the dark, at the dead of night; so Jacob worked another seven years to gain Rachel). There was that incident when Abraham’s wife, Sarah, gave him her personal maid so that Abraham could have a son (Ishmael) but that was because neither Abraham nor Sarah trusted their God enough to give Abraham a son through Sarah (Sarah eventually did have a son named Isaac; Ishmael and his mother were eventually driven out of Abraham’s camp at Sarah’s urging). There were kings of Israel and Judah who had multiple wives and concubines (Solomon, for one, come to mind) but these were in contravention to God’s law, not in accordance with it and both Israel and Judah suffered as a result.
Just stop it – please. What you are arguing for is sin. Plain and simple. So, please – just stop it.
George, I’m guessing by your name that you’re Jewish. If you’re not, well no big deal. Jesus didn’t CHANGE any OT laws. He defined them properly and he fulfilled them IN HIMSELF. The OT prohibitions on homosexual behavior are still in place. Jesus didn’t bother to mention homosexuality because Jewish people knew better than to do it. It was a death penalty offense under the Law. It was something meshugah goyim (Greeks, Romans, etc) did. Nowadays, a lot of Jews are practicing filthosexuality. How do you think they will be judged, seeing as how they had the greater light? Maybe pick up Leviticus and read the 18th, 19th, 20th chapters, eh?
I am Jewish, and I referred to Leviticus 20:13 in my reply, above.
The Tannai’im and the Amoraim, who gave us the Talmud, undid many of the laws in the Torah. They pretty much did away with the death penalty. Jews are supposed to wrestle with God. Jacob was renamed Israel (wrestled God) precisely for that reason.
Islam is trying to teach the world what blind faith means. Nobody is learning.
And that is exactly what Jesus and John the Baptist berated the Pharisees for- making a mockery of the Law by approving of what God forbade and teaching that God forbade things He permitted. Has it occurred to you that the Jews must have been guilty of some rather serious national sin in order to warrant being exiled for 1878 years? Idolatry and profaning the Sabbath only warranted 70 years in Babylon as national punishment.
You stiff-necked sons of Jacob, how long will you continue to rebel against God? Why do you continue watching Gentiles enter the Kingdom of God while you yourselves remain on the outside? Repent! The Messiah, your King and Judge is coming; prepare your hearts and souls for His arrival, lest you be cut off from the land of the living, and have no part in the resurrection unto life, but instead to a resurrection that will only serve to make your bodies indestructible in fiery Gehenna, where Isaiah warned that “Their worm will not die, nor will their fire be extinguished.” Daniel, too, prophesied of that Day, “Many who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awaken. Some shall live forever; others shall be an everlasting disgrace.” Choose now which you shall be: children of God or fuel for unquenchable fire.
Jesus condemned remarriage after divorce as adultery precisely because it is polygamy. Sex can only be adultery if at least one of the participants is married to someone else. Jesus was declaring that since a valid marriage remains intact until one spouse dies, taking another spouse while the first still lives was adultery, whether or not one makes the pretense of divorcing the first spouse. If your spouse dies, however, you are free to remarry.
No Chick-Fil-A near me but maybe I could get a Chick-Fil-A t-shirt. I’d love to wear it around Amherst, MA. I know how tolerant leftists can be.
Great Idea!
Get one with the Holstein Cows holding up hand scrawled sings that say…Eat More Chikin’

Another idea is to buy Chick-Fil-A Gift Cards and send them to your friends and family for gift occasions.
Oh, that is an excellent idea. There is a militant “Sister of Lesbos” that works in my office. There will be a gift card on her desk at the beginning of next week.
Bitter as they have been, until now the cultural and political battles have mostly remained in the political area and the realm of debate. But now an ominous trend is emerging. It isn’t enough to debate, disagree, and work for your point of view withing the political system. Now the left has to hurt somebody. Oh, it’s been going on for a while, but mostly behind the scenes.
Suspicions have been raised before. Gibson Guitar, and all those IRS audits of conservative non-profits like Heritage a few years ago. But bias was always denied.
Now Democrat mayors of two cities have openly taken positions that can only be understood as attempts to punish the owners of Chick-fil-a for their beliefs — not something they have done, as I understand the facts, just for their position on a public issue.
The bedrock of our government rests on the uniform and equal administration of the laws. Oh, I’m not naive enough to believe that politics has never entered into a local decision to grant an operating permit, but until now it has been understood to be wrong, and never openly acknowledged.
We are drifting toward a situation where there could be a running series of punitive acts and reprisals between right and left that will change the character of the country forever.
Where’s the classical liberal when you need one to say Ich bin ein Boston in the face of the food fascists Chick Fil A blockade? “All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin, and, therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words “Ich bin ein Berliner!” JFK.
JFK said…
“I am a doughnut”…in German. True story. But it was the thought that counted.
A certain kind of jelly doughnut, in fact. What JFK should have said was, “Ich bin Berliner.” In Germany, sausages and pastries are often named after places (“ein Nuernberger” is a delicious little wurst); the indefinite article indicates a thing, not a person.
Or in don’s case, “I am a Boston Creme Pie.”
LOL!
But privately while in Berlin, JFK admitted, Ich schtupped Marilyn.
I always wonder why the German “Kriegmarine” named their most fearsome warship in the Second World War after a jelly doughnut…
…that should be “Kriegsmarine” – my bad…
Mr Walsh, in four short weeks at PJM, has secured himself a position at the very top of the list of pundits scheduled for re-education and toilet patrol in the coming gulag.
And I thought I was the only one insensitive enough to go with the nazi references. Back in early 2009, I wrote a post somewhere that showed how the obaminable administration had, without a second breath, already achieved six of the eight primary characteristics of fascism. As I recall, they were missing nationalism and overt violence. I didn’t realize at the time, but should have, that the boy king’s thing is racial rather than national dominance. And fortunately, so far, he has outsourced the violence to his union thugs, and their black racist counterparts. I attibute their lack of success in that area to the second amendment, and to the fact that the Grifter is about 2 centuries away from convincing the American military to bow down to him (except for the generals, some of whom appear to be more than willing to gag on the tailpipe).
It’s hilarious that homosexual groups “discriminate” against other sexual minorities, like consenting-adult incestuous people, polygamists, and exhibitionists. So, according to their own “logic,” homosexual groups must be bigots, haters, etc. The humongous hypocrisy is delicious. Why people fall for truly absurd homosexual propaganda is beyond me. The whole “gay rights” (sad wrongs) movement is ridiculous. Let’s progress, not regress.
Looking forward to taking friends with me as I will support this company, and maybe much like JC Penny’s the public will speak and we will see how puny the threats by the alphabet soup of intolerance will be.
What did JC Penney do? I seem to remember some kind of scandal, but I’ve forgotten the details.
“Failure to pay bribe”? “Backed a competing politician”?
They hired Ellen Degeneres as their spokesperson.
Infuriated a lot of Christian conservative groups.
And once again here we sit at our computers b$tching about the fascists with not one person offering how we can combat them.
Geez folks. At some point you have to get it through you heads that we and them cannot co-exist together in America. So what are you going to do about it? How come nobody here has offered to put up a website supporting Chick; how about we get the financial backers of the groups arrainged against Chick and post their names; how about we organize and boycott those advertisers of these groups but also the MSM, 527s, and foundations that support the left? Nope. Not one person will lift a finger.
Hell, I would if I had the faintest idea I’d get support from you. Hell I wrote to those “brothers” who are big GOP supporters and laid out a plan but of course they said neyt.
This is why the left does what it does because they know we will NEVER fight back.
As Oleg Atbashian once said on his site, The People’s Cube, it’s the professional Left versus the Amateur Right.
http://thepeoplescube.com/current-truth/the-professional-left-vs-the-amateur-right-t5883.html
The main premise being that Leftists don’t much of anything but organize, while the right tries to fight back from a position of volunteerism, and squeezing in what little activism they can do while working. The left divides and conquers any attempt by the right, making sure to pit one right wing group against another.
On the left, political ideology trumps any stated causes. Code Pink, for instance, has been being courted by Ahmadinejad. They’ve been to his Potemkin Villages and declared him a victim of US aggressiveness. They willingly overlook Iran’s abuses against women and homosexuals, because wiping out the right here is more important.
On the Right, we tear each other apart over a few issues. We stomp our feet and won’t vote because our candidate wasn’t chosen. In short, most of use have foundational beliefs, not malleable ones that can be easily plied to whatever situation arises.
He is exactly right. However this is changing somewhat. We now for example have Conservative legal defense organizations like the ACLJ and Thomas More Law Center, which should be supported.
The Right has tended to work through religious organization, and that is where their extra time is given too, religious activities….and while the Church and Religous Organizations do organize and fight somewhat, they have other things to tend to that are not political in nature….whilst the Godless Left puts all their time and effort into attacking and subverting our Civiliztiaon, Society, and Institutions.
One thing that needs to be done is the defunding of Ethnic, Racial, and Women’s Studies Departments which are basically centers for demonization and intellectual and political attacks on our Euro-Christian Civilization and Society….we pay them to do this. Quit paying the enemy to wage war on you…the first order of business.
To find what you’re looking for — how to fight back — just click on the cover of RULES FOR RADICAL CONSERVATIVES at the top of the sidebar on this page, or on this link:

Warning: this book in written in the voice of a hard lefty, frustrated that the jellyfish conservatives won’t fight dirty the way leftists do, so keep that in mind while reading. Getting your blood boiling is part of the experience.
I hear your frustration blotto. You are correct. We need better organization and direct action. Adopt the tactics and strategies of the Left…and use them against them.
Breitbart!
Umm… stockpile weapons and ammo?
What I was thinking myself.
http://bluecollarphilosophy.com/2012/07/are-liberals-going-to-do-to-chick-fil-a-what-nazis-did-to-jewish-businesses/
Think of this as a mandate like ObamaCare. Forcing the religiously faithful to violate their faith or suffer consequences. Dare to publicly assert objective moral truth that violates Liberal Dogma and be prepared to suffer. Expect this to get much worse if Obama is re-elected.
I can’t relocate to the USA until the first week of August. My hometown has a grand opening of a Chick-fil-A in mid September. I was going to make a special trip to a Chick-fil-A 30 miles away in the meantime…
Then the flap with Boston’s Mayor Mumbles came up. That’s two trips.
Then Henson dumped them, pulled back the Muppets, and donated the cash Chick-fil-A paid to GLAAD. That’s three trips (and some of my DVD budget just got “donated” to my eating-out budget)…
Then the flap with the “Kiss-ins”…
Then Rahm Emanuel and his Chicago alderman in Ward 1….
Aw, heck with it. Mr. Cathy, whom do I talk to about replacing my kitchen with a franchise?
Gee, even the chickens have to be PC!
Im making a point of avoiding Jim Henson entertainment and merchandizing and supporting Chick-fil-a.
Chick-fil-a maintains high standards of cleanliness and their employees, mostly Christian, are tops in fast food, no matter where I go, their service is first rate.
Boycott Proctor & Gamble which is big on cultural marxist progessivism and hostile to the 2nd Amendment.
I encourage everyone to make an effort to avoid supporting Jim Henson products and merchandise. They can try to make up the difference by selling their wares to homosexual couples kids. We’ll see how that works out for them.
Best thing Cathy could do is offer a free sandwich to cops and CCL holders, of which I… uhm… happen to be one. I might even decide to open carry at the only Chick-Fil-A in the lower half of the state.
In fact they should have the company put up signs saying:
GUNS ARE WELCOME ON PREMISES – Please keep all weapons holstered unless need arises, in such case, judicious marksmanship appreciated
Why did we have to go through this now? It looks like they’re going to build a Chick-Fil-A just a 10-15 minute walk away, but instead I now have to drive all the way across town. Before, I could just go there when I had business in the neighborhood; now it becomes one more battle for the rule of law.
On the other hand, they didn’t have waffle fries at Valley Forge.
But Chic-fil-A has those delightful billboards-
Two cows painting ‘Eet mor chikin’!
Rahm, outraged by animal slavery, wages war on bovine brutality!
Someday, the War on Meat will be won!
If I were a chain business owner, I would be claiming I hate Jews (or whomever) just to get the free publicity of liberal “boycotts”. They never last — they get REALLY REALLY ANGRY for about a week, and then forget all about it. In the meantime, I’ve got lot of free publicity, and lots of people who wouldn’t have heard of me otherwise will become a regular customer just to piss off the liberals…
Saying you hate Jews wouldn’t do it. Most lefties (I refuse to dignify them with the name of “liberals”, because they’re anything but!) are pro-Palestinian and anti-Semitic. They want to see Jews and Israel wiped off the face of the earth.
If you publicized your shop by saying you hate Jews, the lefties would come flocking… for a while. But you’d be so disgusted by having them as customers — the smelly bare feet, the graffiti gouged into the tables and scrawled in the restrooms, the out-of-control bratty children, the fights breaking out, the puddles of puke on the restroom floor, the continual stiffing of your waiters — that you’d be glad to have them gone in a week.
Try saying you hate lefties instead. Then the outrage, boycotts, and news coverage will give you more publicity than you ever dreamed.
If you are the owner of a major franchise, and you make a divisive statement there are going to be consequences, you are the representative of the establishment. That is basic. While we have the right to free speech, that does not mean that speech is without consequences. If you are an adult, you must already understand that statements made have consequences, words have power. This is something we teach elementary children, but people on this site seem to have a hard time grasping this concept. Some people will boycott, and some people will buy more.
No one is telling Dan what he can and cannot say, and people are in fact repeating what he has said. He is in no way having his rights repressed. He however would like to keep repressing a specific portion of the population.
Hello, McFly! Is there anyone home? Try to stay with me. How does an interview in which he states ““guilty as charged” for backing “the biblical definition of a family.” equate to repressing a specific portion of the population.
I invite you dust off your book of words and look up what repress means. I know, it’s probably been a while.
Repress: Subdue (someone or something) by force.
Is Cathy really repressing a specific portion of the population because he differs in his worldview about the practice. I know you’re struggling. I’ll help you out. The answer is no. Did Cathy say, homosexuals are not welcomed in my establishments?
I, and I’m sure the author, are not saying people don’t have a right to boycott, but they don’t have a right to vandalize property or anyway threaten or intimidate any patrons of Chick-fil-A, which some are threatening to do.
The left likes to repress anyone who doesn’t goose-step with their myopic, and historically bankrupt, point of view.
Indeed, but the real kicker here is that local governments are witholding business licenses because they dont like what the business operators think about a social issue.
Jim Henson Entertainment is in for a world of hurt in a counter boycott…..they arent facing denial of permits to operate as a business.
Smell the totalitarianism.
If the Henson spent millions of dollars on gun control, I could see some southern mayors trying to boycott the company.
And those mayors would be wrong to do so — just as wrong as the mayor of Boston and the Chicago alderman are.
Don’t you get it??? The First Amendment guarantees a right to free speech, meaning speech free from government reprisal. The mayor of Boston and the Chicago alderman are government officials, just as your hypothetical Southern mayors would be.
That means that, as private citizens, they are free to dine or not dine in any restaurant they please — but while they are serving in the government, their attempts at legal reprisal are in violation of the First Amendment.
A lot of people think that “First Amendment rights” = I can say anything I damn well want to and no one has a right to criticize, or even respond in a hostile fashion.” That is not true. The First Amendment only protects us from the government.
So, if the Chick-Fil-A president’s comments offend you, boycott CFA if you wish — that’s your First Amendment right — but don’t expect anyone to applaud the clearly unconstitutional use of “lawfare” against the local franchisees who had nothing to do with the president’s statements.
Chick-fil-A has donated millions of dollars to groups that oppose gay marriage. If that is not working to suppress gay marriage, what is? If the company is spending money to oppose gay marriage, then it only makes sense that people whom support gay marriage will not give money to the company buy purchasing the products.
Dude, they give charitable donations to Christian organizations that amongst many other things, promote traditional marriage and seek to maintain that norm for society. Note “amongst many other things.”
They arent on a crusade to persecute Homos. That sentiment is hate mongering…which apparently is OK, as long as you arent targeting a favored minority group.
Haters gonna hate.
And that’s fine — as long as we’re talking about private individuals. For government officials to place legal obstacles in front of a local franchisee because they disagree with statements made by the company founder is clearly a violation of the First Amendment.
Funny how the only “divisive” statements are statements which oppose whatever fashionable nonsense is supported by the progressives this week.
For example, “death to Israel!” is not “divisive”, it’s “supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people”. On the other hand, “Islam has a serious problem with violence” is “divisive” and “Islamophobic” and really, the very idea!
Another example: do most people support gay marriage? Then, it shows “the people” like it and anybody opposing gay marriage is “divisive” and therefore it should be banned. Oh wait — the people *oppose* gay marriage? Pass laws that do not recognize it? Then, naturally, the people don’t count any more; they are just racist ignorant masses! Wuick! To the courts! Let us overturn the law as unconsitutional!
When 50% of people support one side and 50% oppose the side, then the topic is divisive.
So, you’re boycotting Starbucks and Apple because their top brass declared they’re FOR gay marriage, right? After all, you’re against companies making DIVISIVE statements, aren’t you?
Oh, wait, I forget: when 50% of the population is for and 50% against something, “divisive” only applies to the 50% on the side the progressives oppose. The 50% on the side progressives support are NEVER “divisive”. They’re always “fighting against bigotry” or “protecting human rights” or something.
So why is “divisive” bad? It’s neither sinful nor illegal to hold an unpopular opinion. Mr Cathy’s opinion harms no one. (Note: “Offense” is not “harm”.) Chick-Fil-A doesn’t refuse to hire or serve gays.
Why should a would-be franchisee in Boston or Chicago, who has probably never even met the Chick-Fil-A president, be punished by the local government because someone else exercised his freedom of speech?
Sorry Mary, but in today’s politically correct world, offense does mean that harm has been done.
We’re going to have to send you and others like you to re-reducation camps as soon as they’re up and running.
Like most progressives, Brian cannot tell the difference between TOLERATION and ACCEPTANCE.
Chick-Fil-A is 100% tolerant of homosexuals. Nobody is denied service there because they’re gay, nobody is refused employment because she’s a lesbian (if they are they can sue and should win). The owner of the chain is also 100% tolerant of homosexuals. She does not think homosexuals should be prosecuted for being homosexuals or engaging in homosexual sex. No lack of toleration. Nobody’s rights are violated. She just opposes gay “marriage”.
First of all, even if she supported slavery, that would be intolerant, but would not actually violate anybody’s rights — free speech is protected even when vile. Blacks have a right not to be enslaved, but not the right to stop other people from *saying* they should be enslaved (neither do Jews have the right to stop neo-Nazis from saying vile things against them, for example).
But opposing gay marriage is not even a lack of tolerance. It’s merely lack of ACCEPTANCE. Sorry, society has a right not to accept gay unions as marriage — just like it has the right to not accept polygamous unions or incestous unions between a man and his (adult) daughter. Such relationships (if consensual) are tolerated — there is no law I may not have two or four girlfrieds. But it’s simply not accepted — not given the same status as monogamy. Neither do gay union have any *right* to be accepted. Why is this so hard to see?
Oh, P.S.
The only real consequences I think will occur will be that Chick-Fil-A will have a good year. Conservatives will now flock to the place to piss liberals off and, if their service is half decent (I understand it is, generally speaking), many will become regular customers.
As for the “boycott” by liberals, that will last a couple of weeks at most. Experience shows progressive “boycotts” only last until they get hungry and feel like having one of those delicious meals the “boycotted” place offers. The real point of the “boycott” for progressives isn’t actually to harm the business in question, but merely to loudly scream how you’re boycotting them so that you will look all righteous and just to your friends.
Brian,
You may want to take a gander at the video supplied, “1933 Nazi …”, and also pay close attention to the words, “And speaking of socialist boycotts against commercial establishments with religious principles with whom the rabid Left disagrees…”. That, is exactly what’s happening, the only difference is that the jack-booted thugs are not on every street corner enforcing the boycott against Chick Fil-A; instead, fascist are showing their true colors here there and everywhere, and this is a Godsend because we can now see the corruption that has been visited upon us as a nation. A corruption that we have thus far passively accepted … decision time is upon us regardless of who the POTUS was, is or will be. This fascist socialist boycotting of business is rampant in Europe, with the one exception; proposed businesses that don’t tow the socialist line (members of the right party) aren’t even allowed to get off the ground … THAT is a FACT Jack.
Out here where I live, in South Orange County California, a new Chick-Fil-A is opening, and the gay pressure groups will be out in force protesting in front of the new location. The funny thing is, Orange County, California is a very conservative and very religious (especially Evangelical) area; remember, this is the home of Rick Warren, the Crystal Cathedral, and Trinity Broadcasting Network. The gay protesters will get very little sympathy. Of course, the only people the gay protesters will affect are the teenage cashiers who have to put up with this crap.
“The funny thing is, Orange County, California is a very conservative and very religious (especially Evangelical) area.”
Actually not so much anymore. This has been changing for years. The conservative parts of the OC are largely the inland communities. The more affluent coastal parts, the parts that really matter and anyone cares about, are very Democratic as exemplified in the representation at the political level. B1 Bob (Bob Dornan) was replaced long ago, for instance. You can have Fullerton and Placentia and the tacky supermarket-sized churches there.
“the parts that really matter… that anyone cares about…” Now you show your true colors: Conservatives aren’t human to you, are they?
So let me ask you this: If you don’t see me as human, why should I bother extending the same courtesy to you? (Note: I know for myself why I do it — but I want to hear your reasons why I should.)
You’re also forgetting the fact that Rohm, the SA leader, whose goons enforced the “do not buy from Jews” boycott, and most of the higher-up in the SA, were notorious for their homosexuality. When Rohm and other top SA thugs were murdered by a few months later by Hitler (goes to show nobody is ALL bad, I guess), he declared, as an excuse, that he is shocked — SHOCKED! — to discover Rohm and the SA leadership were mostly gay.
Two contemporary jokes in Berlin were:
1). Whatever will Hitler do when he finds out about Goebbles’ club foot?
2). Only now do we realize the full significance of Rohm’s recent speech, “out of every Hitler youth an SA man will emerge”.
Where did you get that footage? I have seen parts of the footage with other clips in documentaries in German tv. But, never with such sharpness of focus. By the way, the Nazies were not as successful as they had hoped. In a scene one can see a SA thug (and SA thugs were known for violence) before the door to a Jewish business. Hitler did not get the full resonance he sought for. Indeed, the indications are he provoked some ill-will. I view the boycott of Jewish stores as part of a softening up of public opinion by means of a demonization of the Jewish minority, particularly in small businesses where stereotyping of Jews had a history. (The really rich buisness Jews lost their property a bit later, while a numbed public remained silent, through forced expropiation.) What to these all too brief words have to do with the boycott mentioned?
The attempts to damage a “faith-based” business in the USA reminds me the openning solvo of acts against Jews in Nazi Germany. The latent hate behind and motivating such punitive acts will later take on violent form. Unlike the “tiny” Jewish minority, however, in then Germany, the “true-to-my-faith” business owners exist in a context plolitically more favorable. The fact that the Catholic Church is fighting the HHS Mandate is, I think, indicative of organizational possibilities of resistance. At some point, if all goes not right, the violence will come. It always does.
I’m going to go out of my way today to take my kids to Chik fil A after their swim lessons. I hope that the cashier can give me three copies of my receipts….one is for my records.
Then I’m going to send one to the ballerina, and one to the Masshole, and write a short note telling them that they maybe should get cracking on their crappy school systems instead of dictating what a business should have as a social policy.
So, let’s not buy oil from OPEC because they are owned by people who kill homosexuals.
What is this country coming to? These mayors are just plain bullys drunk with power. I say let them all keep talking — Obama, Emanual, Menino, etc. and let the public see and hear what is really going on in their dark souls.
Or rather, “…hold a belief system that believe homosexuals should be killed.”
Sorry.
Normalphobia must be designated a hate crime! The fear and hatred that homosexuals and their advocates have for normal people is criminal; normalphobes must be taught tolerance.
Haven’t been to a Chick-fil-a in ages but I’ll find one this weekend.
The debate in a nutshell:
The Left: “Corporations should put social values ahead of profits.”
Chik-Fil-A: “Okay, we will.”
The Left: “No, no no! Not YOUR social values!”
Indubitably.
Brilliant.
A city in Nothern Cal just pulled the permit for Chick Fil A because a couple of gay fellows petitioned to have the zoning permit withdrawn because they didn’t like the owners’ view on gay marriage.
So here we are, in the midst of massive unemployment in California, and they won’t let a restaurant open, which will hire lots of people, just because the owner’s political views are not the same as some disgruntled and angry gays. And none of the politicians have the guts to stand up to them.
We are in big trouble.
It isn’t “just because the owner’s political views are not the same as some disgruntled angry gays.” It is because that owner uses the profit from that establishment to deny freedom to other Americans. Therefore, those “disgruntled angry gays” have every right as Americans to decide who does business in their community. That’s how it works in America. Got it?
This is a corporate blunder of epic proportions on the part of Chic-Fil-A and it will hit them hard – in the pocket book. Money is something conservatives understand. Mr. Cathy will have to get used to having less of it.
this is how the heavy hand of tyranny works
not market capitalism
if you want to protest/boycott go ahead- get the word out, vent on yelp, try to sway public opinion, etc…
the problem is the revocation of the permit based on what?
it is no business of ours what the owner does with his profits- if he is foolhardy the market will take care of it
having politicians/government pick winners and losers is time tested/proven method of epic failure
“the problem is the revocation of the permit based on what?”
That is for the various cities who deny or approve the permit to decide based on their own anti-discrimmination guidelines. If residents don’t like the outcome of these decisions we have a remedy for that, they are called elections. My guess is that the people who live in these communities are fine with the denial of a business permit to Chick-Fil-A. Nothing more American than that. Sorry it doesn’t fit your narrative.
sweet
i have a narrative now
can i get paid for posting?
Just went to one of the franchise with my family for lunch. 2:30 pm Packed! So less than 1%of the population, Queers, are Gaycotting, and falsely claiming discrimination. No facts, just a bunch of lisp spittle, and flailing wrist. Normal People are supporting Traditional Values. Bet you Chick-fil-A has a record profit @ all it franchises!
No, CW, the owner has NOT used any money to “deny freedoms”.
He has no power to use that. He has, at most, used his money to promote a point of view that some construe as being in favor of denying freedoms.
Big difference. BIIIIIIG difference.
Speech is speech.
Actually denying freedom takes action. Coercive action. Pray tell, have they physically, forcibly blocked any gay weddings? Or have they only expressed an opinion that the government should not permit it?
Let’s be clear: Saying “CW shouldn’t be typing crap like that” is expressing an opinion. Sending a SWAT team to confiscate your keyboard is denying your freedom. Got it?
Sorry, Swami, that crystal ball of yours doesn’t always tell the truth because in this case you’re wrong. Mr. Cathy has said himself that he gives generously to groups that deny freedom, and that is the way many see it. Those who share the view that Mr. Cathy’s actions deny freedom to themselves and others have a right to decide who does business in their community in the very same way a community has the right to make sure a porn shop doesn’t open there. It is about values. Perhaps not your values, but that’s besides the point. Got it?
Cynical Wonder: “Those who share the view that Mr. Cathy’s actions deny freedom to themselves and others have a right to decide who does business in their community in the very same way a community has the right to make sure a porn shop doesn’t open there. It is about values.”
“Values” is a meaningless term in that context. The analogy does not hold. In the case of a Porn shop (and I already have an issue with banning legal pornography but for the sake or argument) the product being sold is the issue, not the personal beliefs of the owners. The store sells sandwiches. That is an entirely different argument.
Communities are not free in our society to simply ban something because of “values”. A given community could just as easily decide that it’s values do not include black residents or people who give money to the Democratic party.
I happen to support gay rights and gay marriage. Be careful because the same weapon you are advocating is the one most used against the gay community. The other caveat is that not everyone cares about gay marriage, but everyone cares about jobs abd chicken.
Glad to hear that you support marriage equality. Even if there are no legal barriers to opening a Chick-Fil-A establishment in a community that community has a right to speak out and say they don’t want it. The mayor, as an elected representative of the people, speaks for them, and the entities that issue business licenses can make it difficult or a protracted process. Conservative communities have been doing this with family planning clinics and porn stores for a long time. It stinks when they get a taste of their own medicine, but as messy and uncomfortable as this process is it is the American way.
You still don’t get it. The personal opinion of the Chick-Fil-A president has no effect on anyone. Zero. None.
And as for charitable donations, in this country, at least for now, anyone is free to donate to any charity. That means you, too. So get donating. Do you?
Your’e right clemmie. Seems one David Speakman and his “husband” Richard have filed an appeal in Mountain View, Ca. to block an already approved permit to construct a C/F/A in the city. To bad if they succeed. Closest Chick is at least 50 miles from my home.
By the way, since Richard is the husband, does David assume Richard’s surname? Just wondering.
“By the way, since Richard is the husband, does David assume Richard’s surname? Just wondering.”
That’s really none of you business …
“You people” are always sticking your busy-body nose where it doesn’t belong …
pot calls kettle…
^ LOL. Yep.
This “tolerance” business from gays and others on the left is baloney. In “The Righteous Mind”, Jonathan Haidt said we are all self-righteous hypocrites. By that he means that we are hypercritical of those we disagree with while being hyper-forgiving of ourselves and our allies. Progressives are no more tolerant than anyone else. When they lay this line on me, I’m happy to respond, “Yep. Like I’ve always said: Celebrate diversity, hug a bigot.” Love to watch their eyes roll.
Tolerance vs. tyranny is not the only irony here. Gay folks are big supporters of anti-bullying programs. Yet give them a little power and what do they do? Bully!
What an uncanny parallel these gays have to the Islamo-Nazi leftists. My way or the highway! We will all be happy if we do it my way. Maybe these clowns are taking a few pages out of Sharia law. You will be punished by a boycott because you insult the G-d of being gay. And of course the freedom of speech amendment is only for people who are pro-gay or pro-racist. Anyone else who opens their mouth is subject to being labelled seditious or worse.
I am not gay but do have plenty of gay friends who think the reaction is beyond stupid. Everyone is entitled to their opinion as uncomfortable as it might make you. Being gay makes many people uncomfortable, what about their feelings? It is time to stop being so damned PC and get a life.
Animal:
Maybe you should think again about this tactic. Depending on the culture of your workplace, giving her gift card to Chick-Fil-A during this current “controversy” could well lead to an official “sexual harassment” charge.
Believe me; you don’t want that to happen. If you are a man, you will have virtually no rights under current law and regulations.
I guess you could drop the card off on the sly, but what honor is there in doing that?
Perhaps a better way to do this is to wait for her birthday or give it to her as gift during the Christmas season. You then have the opportunity to tell her that you are really trying to find out if Chick-Fil-A is guilty of anti-homosexual practices in serving the public. And since you are a heterosexual, it is doubtful that such practices would be applied to you.
Tell her you would really be interested in what happens to her and would appreciate a report on her experience.
In this way, giving a lesbian a gift card to an organization accused of being anti-homosexual won’t be interpreted as a slap in the face, leading to a workplace charge of harassment; and perhaps it would help her see that this controversy has been trumped up to punish a Christian-oriented business simply because of anti-Christian intolerance.
Just a thought.
Or just have a nice lunch at CFA and dump the trash in her can, shoot a pic and out her to her buddies on Facebook.
Honest Christian guy just telling the truth of what he believes and they hate him for it.
Evil always sides with evil, that’s why you have the gay, liberal, socialist, fascist, radical Islamist agendas all holding hands saying evil things about Christians and Jews.
Hey look the bottom line is God hates evil: lying, cheating, stealing, murder, sexual perversion. So those who practice those things hate God in return and therefore they hate Gods chosen and adopted children.
A lot of people who practice these evil things are in power today, worldwide, though not for long. If anyone cares to notice the wicked are crawling out from under all of the rocks they used to hide under. All of their stealing from the public is coming to light: their lying, cheating, cronyism, murders nothing will be hidden that they do. Their plans are being exposed along with their arrogance and their stupidity. Soon they will try to crawl back under the rocks that they came from but they will find no place to hide from the truth of what they are. Everyone will see their nakedness.
What goes around comes around.
Christianophobia is running wild!
“You shut your mouth–
how can you say
I go about things the wrong way?
I am human, and I need to be loved
Just like everybody else does.”
Nobody is questioning your humanity. Just stop demonizing people that don’t agree with your beliefs. Funny there plenty of Mosque’s in every state in the union. But I never see the Brave Gay Community raise a stink to stop these gay loving muslims. Go join a Muslim est. and tell them how Bigoted they are. You people are pathetic pansies.
What’s the problem?
Just serve some gay chicken meat.
The gay community should have more ingenuity. Breeding gay chickens, cows, pigs, could be an explosive industry. And transgender pigs could be sold as chicken or beef.
What a concept?
The hate directed at @SarahPalinUSA for her tweet-pic of Chick-Fil-a is an example pf the toxicity directed at the business for the personal beliefs of its owner. I hope the haters of the left are content — the official Chick-Fil-A spokesperson has died of a sudden heart-attack, after trying to deal with the ensuing stress.
These attacks on chick-fil-A are just another example of the attacks on Christianity made by the liberal left. These people are no better than Islamist extremists. The left is opposed to anyone having values and principles as taught by normal religions.
Jesus said not to throw pearls to trolls.
When I saw the German title, I thought “Oh no, this ‘non-story scandal’ has hit Germany, too!” I’m glad to see it was just a tongue-in-cheek way of equating the current furor to pre-WWII Germany under Hitler – maybe a bit of a stretch, but still pretty good.
Gay chicken squawks but not on Sunday. it’s a good product. gay marriage who cares just being straight about it.
Unfortunately, there are no Chick-fil-A’s where I live in Europe, but when this old Okie come back to visit, that is where I will be eating most of my meals! Obama and the Regressive Demonrats can go to Hell, where they belong!
The Bible outlawed that “a man laying with another man as with a woman” that is why those who believe in the Bible irregardless of faith are against gay marrage. That’s the problem, no one except for a few fanatics are talking about reinstating sodomy laws (here again in language (the sin of sodom why G-D destroyed it totally was SODOMy).
I don’t believe that what is written in the Bible should influence anything but I don’t think the restaurant forces corporation beliefs on its patrons and those sponsoring a boycott are doing just that.
I wish we had a Chick-fil-A in Maine. Every time I go to Florida on vacation I can’t get enough of it. Their food is excellent and their service is great too. I’d be eating there every night just to show my support if only there was one nearby.
I hope the increased business sure to come from this free advertising will help them to expand.
Chick FilA should open some kosher franchises- I would eat there if it were kosher and so would many other Jews
Wow. I don’t read most of the hogwash in the news–listen to it either–but I pulled into a Chick-Fil-A last week and was utterly astounded with the traffic there. Parking lot so busy people we were waiting for a space. I thought, “What the heck?” It was crazy busy and I literally had to dodge traffic getting out of there (no way I was going to wait in the line inside or out.)
True!
Now I get it.
I’m certainly not cool with the petty tyrant mayors subverting the process of law and order to air their own beliefs, and I’ll tell anyone who asks.
But you know what? I’m not going to lose any sleep over Chick-fil-A and the bigots who run it. They weren’t just expressing their beliefs, they were making a show of it. They were funding Family Research Council’s ongoing hateful campaigns to use government to continue the institutionalization of a narrow reading of the Bible. I don’t take that crap from leftists and I don’t take it from the right.
At least they seemed to have learned their lesson:
“The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect — regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender,” a company statement said. “We will continue this tradition in the over 1,600 restaurants run by independent owner/operators.”
I see this crappy article does not point out the fact that they were protesting the alleged money sent to “hate groups.” Talk about slanted journalism.
A formidable share, I simply given this onto a colleague who was doing just a little analysis on this. And he in truth bought me breakfast as a result of I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the deal with! However yeah Thnkx for spending the time to debate this, I really feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If potential, as you grow to be experience, would you thoughts updating your weblog with more particulars? It’s highly helpful for me. Massive thumb up for this blog submit!
