NY Senator Throws Obama, Her Fellow Democrat Senators Under the Bus

November 17th, 2013 - 2:15 pm

“Dem Senator: ‘We All Knew’ Obama Was Lying,” as spotted at Ben Shapiro’s new Truth Revolt Website:

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) admitted Sunday to knowing the promises President Obama made about his signature health care plan were false. On ABC’s This Week, fill-in host Martha Raddatz asked Gillibrand where she felt misled by Obama, considering the fact that the President said that Americans who wanted to keep their health care plans could do so.

* * * * * * *

Gillibrand offered a startling revelation:

He should’ve just been specific. No, we all knew. The whole point of the plan is to cover things people need, like preventive care, birth control, pregnancy. How many women, the minute they get pregnant, might risk their coverage. How many women paid more because of their gender, because they might get pregnant. Those are the reforms.

If “we all knew,” as Gillibrand claimed, that means that in addition to further confirmation that the president knew he was lying during the at least 36 times that he told the public that “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan,” the following Democrat senators were also all lying, when they promised Americans, as the president did, that they can keep their health insurance plans:

On Friday, Byron York of the Washington Examiner tallied up “27 Democratic senators who promised you could keep your health coverage.”

Kirsten Gillibrand, their fellow Democrat senator, who’s not up for reelection until 2018, just transformed them all into speedbumps.

Via Ace, here’s a well-made 17 minute video from September, on lying leftists, the lies they’ve told, and “Obamacare, Deconstructed”:

Related: “Watch Rep. Nancy Pelosi (CA-D) Spin Through Her Teeth, Stumble & Stammer as She Tries to Rewrite What She Previously Promised in Obamacare,” despite having the most sympathetic interviewer possible, fellow leftist David Gregory, on today’s edition of NBC’s Meet the Press.

I regard the "Mainstream Media" as particularly complicit in this. Even after the lies about "If you like your insurance, you can keep it" came out, outlets like the New York Times did their best to spin the President's remarks ("What the President really meant was..."). When they saw that the public wasn't buying it, they declared outright that the President had to lie to sell this legislation to the public. This only shows the utter disdain that the "Mainstream Media" has for the public, especially for those in red state "flyover" areas. Their incestuous relationship with progressive Democrat relationships past and present has been well-documented. These people cannot and should not be trusted. They should be confronted with their perfidies at every opportunity.

Democrats lie. Freely and unabashedly.

The "intellectewkal" ones lie in the name of necessity, an "end justifies the means" idea of bringing along a recalcitrant population in the name of their superior whizzdom.

The dumb ones, the parrots...Durbin ? Gillibrand ? who mechanically repeated the lie about keeping your insurance and your doctor...are lazy & just take their talking points from "above".

So if she knew he was lying, why didn't she think to inform her constituents or the American people in general. You're complicit, Gillibrand.

Gilli looks so "compassionate" in that video. She's just full of compassion.

Once upon a time, I thought it would be sufficient to vote all these lying cockroaches out of office. However, the more I learned, the more I thought it necessary to vote them out and strip them of their pensions, perquisites, benefits, and all their ill-gotten gains. then,as I learned more, I thought it best to do all of the above and to cut a deal with the Little Father in Moscow to resettle these evil creatures in Siberia, in the Gulag Archipelago, never to return or even move west of the Urals. Now, I think all this insufficient. They all need to be hanged on lamp posts, no drop, no hood. Let them dance the Paddington Frisk or the Tyburn Jig. Then, just leave them for the buzzards or thrown the bodies into the Potomac. Every dam' one of them.

They ALL knew, including the mainstream media? Can you say "conspiracy"? I knew you could.

Bastards. Tar. Feathers.

The amazing thing to me is that Gillibrand's admission is not an isolated case, either for Obamacare or the hundreds of other petty to major crimes committed by the regime. Far from it, the inadvertent confessions are rather common, both from the Clown Prince's supporters and the slow-witted genius himself.

And yet the love for the greatest Con Man of all time continues. Who actually believes that the 39% approval is anything but temporary. Another flurry of whoppers or two, a few more transparently false or tiny give-aways, another spate of declarations of his historic genius, and the Incompetent Primarius will be back in the saddle trashing the greatest country ever conceived.

so what we learn is that dems lie, to pass legislation, and then want to blame others when what they lied to pass, can't work, and the blame game starts

And where are dems when blame game starts, hiding and lying again.

Gillibrand knew it was a lie, and considered it a necessity so that women could continue to get benefits and compel others to pay for them.

I didn't read the article above too closely, but part of lazy lying is parroting a talking point that reinforces something you like.

I don't have a positive identification with the name K/ Gillibrand, something stemming back to how/when she was elected.

In 2009, before the ACA was voted on by Congress, I believe the preliminary vetting done by the CBO on the bill, indicated that there was not enough anticipated tax revenue to support it. That automatically revealed to anyone paying any attention, that a much larger infusion of higher paying participants was needed. Translation? Basic low cost coverage plans that may have been adequate for many healthy individuals including young people under 35 years of age would no longer be allowed. The fact that the news media as well as the politicians are viewing it now as profundity means that either they did not read any of the bill or were being disingenuous about it's ramifications. My guess is probably both but no one will ever go broke betting on the ignorance of the members of Congress.

So, let me see: she says that they knew. GOP knew as well. So the only people who claim to be surprised are journalists? Those who were supposed to comb through the law and report to Americans the facts?
Remember, the thing you denote by "Obama" is not just one poor community organizer. The bigger part of it is the community of reporters who created a fairy tale, sold it to US and supported it till the last possible moment. The guy himself is an average golf player.

but no republican voted for the bill, and one can't ask more than the no vote.

So now dems lying, and deceiving is all on them, because they knew, ignored, and if in private business would be fired, if not sued, if not criminally charged for fraud.

"The guy himself is an average golf player."

An angry, thin-skinned, immensely stubborn and dogmatic (common in the not-too-bright) average golf player, steeped for the duration of his 52 (?) years in communist precepts.

"They should be confronted with their perfidies at every opportunity."

But they're not, and that, combined with a population conditioned to not pay attention, are foundational pillars of progressives' so called "success".

Ok...I have some follow up questions. (That the Propaganda Machine, aka, active co-conspirators) do not.

1) if they all knew, why did they say they didn't read it?

2) if they all knew, how did all the Republicans not know? I mean how did they keep it a secret?

3) if it was intended to cover all those things, how was it going to be less expensive?

4) if it was intended to cover all those things, how we're people who didn't need those...going to keep their policies?

5) by saying "he needed to be more specific", could YOU be more specific? What did you know wasn't be being specific about...and why didn't ONE of you...who ALL KNEW....help to clarify and BE more specific?

6) by your silence, aren't you admitting a conspiracy by Democrats...either through active participation of a pattern and practice of deceiving the American public or through passive acquiesce in a scheme to defraud them out of their health coverage, in order to force them to pay for inferior STATE goods and services?

7) why is this not a violation of your oath of office, for that matter why is it not treason?
