Take the A-Train, Comrade

The left’s fascination with high-speed trains has always baffled me — until now. California Re-Governor Jerry Brown explains:

“On the other hand I like trains, I like clean air,” Brown said. “And I like to enjoy the comfort of trains. I like to get up and walk around and shake hands. You can’t do that in your little car as you look in your rear view mirror.”

A citizen in his car can go where he likes without bother. A passenger on a train is just along for Jerry Brown’s ride, and he (or someone like him) will be there to remind them.
