Your ♡bamaCare!!! Fail of the Day [Corruption Edition]

Late last week we talked about Colorado Senator Mark Udall’s attempt to cook the books on how many policies were cancelled here due to ♡bamaCare!!!. Now there’s more:

The national media’s current obsession with New Jersey politics may have temporarily shielded Udall, but locally, one Colorado State Representative is turning up the heat. From the Denver Post, Rep. Amy Stephens (a GOP candidate vying to challenge Udall) has asked the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to investigate Udall’s actions:

“I am deeply concerned about recent reports that U.S. Senator Mark Udall and/or Senator Udall’s staff exerted inappropriate and undue pressure on the Colorado Division of Insurance,” Stephens, a Republican from Monument, wrote in a letter to DORA executive director Barbara Kelley. “I am requesting that you investigate these reports to determine the level of coercion by Senator Udall and/or his staff, and whether any laws or rules were violated as a result of this conduct.”

Stephens is a member of the state House Health and Human Services Committee and is a member of the Legislative Health Benefit Exchange Implementation Review Committee.

While it’s uncertain where this investigation will lead, one thing is clear: Republicans are not going to cut Udall any slack. Add the quixotic and unpredictable Colorado electorate, and Senator Udall could be spinning like a top just to stay competitive.

Throw the bastard out.
