Al Qaeda in Kentucky? All I can think to say at this point is, “Why the hell not?” It fits right in with the whole end of the world vibe we’ve been enjoying these last few years. That’s a fundamental transformation right there, is what that is. I’m sure they’ll be able to find a Democrat precinct happy to let them vote.

It occurs to me also that while Jimmy Carter might have practically begged the Soviets to waltz into Nicaragua, it’s not like he ever offered to give them back Alaska. But nothing’s really shocking anymore with the Lawbreaker-in-Chief in charge.
