Yeah, not really. Its adoption rate is the same as or even better than iOS 6 last year — and on tens of millions more devices, as the iOS installed base increases in size each year.
So that’s 52% of iOS devices using the newest OS after just one week.
Let’s look at the Android competition, courtesy of Wikipedia.
According to the latest figures, the most popular version of that OS is 4.x “Jellybean” — which runs on only about 45% of all Android devices, and which came out in July.
July of last year.
Jellybean 4.3 has been out since July of this year, but is apparently running on so few devices that Android Authority is asking, “Where is Android 4.3?”
That’s gotta be hard on developers.
