Nine million iPhone 5S and 5C units sold — sold to paying customers, not shipped into the sales channel — in three days. The pricer S outsold the C by a “wide margin.” I’d wager though that those numbers might reverse over time, since a lot of those 5S buyers (like me) are gotta-have-the-latest-and-greatest-immediately upgraders.
Last year’s launch of the iPhone 5 sold 5 million, albeit rolled out in fewer countries at once.
Clearly the company has stumbled, can’t innovate, and Tim Cook must be fired.
