More seriously, let’s pretend for a moment that there’s nothing at all sinister about collectivism. Let us assume best intentions all around, and that ObamaCare (all evidence to the contrary) will bring the greatest good to the greatest number at a reduced cost.

None of that changes the fact that collecting data is simply what bureaucracies do. And once that data is centralize and collated, it will eventually be abused. And for my Democrat friends, it will be abused by Republicans someday, too.

And then there will be much pointing and laughing amidst the rubble of a once-great country.
