This right here is everything wrong with postmodern America:

A lawyer for San Diego Mayor Bob Filner criticized the city for not providing sexual harassment training to the mayor, saying its failure to do so violated the law.

In a letter to the city attorney, Harvey Berger wrote that Filner might never have been sued for sexual harassment had he been properly trained.

“If there is any liability at all, the city will almost certainly be liable for ‘failing to prevent harassment,’ ” Berger wrote in a letter dated Monday and obtained Wednesday by CNN from City Attorney Jan Goldsmith.

That’s right, Filner is the victim here because the city failed to provide one of those dreary make-work classes for him, where a cheerless HR “professional” could teach him not to grope his underlings.

Meddlesome lawyer? Check. Perp-as-victim? Check. Total lack of personal responsibility? Check. Perversion of justice? Check. “There oughta be a law” mentality? Check.

Democrats? Check check check check check check check check check.

I had it figured out before kindergarten that you don’t reach out and grab somebody’s derriere just because it’s pretty. And here we have a 70-year-old mayor of a major city, threatening to sue, presumably for millions, because he was never forced to take a class called “Grab-Ass is Wrong, Mmmkay.”

Why, next thing you know, you won’t even be able to get blow jobs from interns anymore.
