They're Easier to Please

So we all know by now that President Welfare believes that you can put together a winning coalition — “a permanent Democratic majority?” — with a coalition made up of welfare recipients and the working poor. Impoverish the middle class, and you’re halfway there. Loosen the work requirements for welfare, and it’s all Mission Accomplished time.

Well, guess what? He really did break the 1996 welfare reform act and water down the work requirements.

The fix is in, folks. We’re in the vise. That’s what makes November 6 so important.
