Do As I Say, Not As I Do

Duck and cover, House Democrat edition:

Some Democratic lawmakers want to make sure that one question does not get asked at the upcoming first presidential debate – about Simpson-Bowles.

Three Democratic House members objected Tuesday to a request by four senators that President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney be asked which of the commission’s proposals to address the debt they support. The Democrats said such a question would force “candidates to choose solutions from one menu of options.”

What the hell do GOP Senators or House Democrats have to do with determining the content of presidential debate? Those questions should be left to the dissembling discretion of the cheerleading prog moderators.

More seriously, this sort of objection by the Democrats can accomplish only one of two things. Either reveal how in-the-bag the debate moderators are, or reveal how comically impotent House Democrats have become.

Win-win.
