Short & Sweet Book Review

I emailed the following to John Scalzi, just moments after reading his new novel:

I’ve just finished Zoe’s Tale — in my hotel room in Vegas, which should give you some idea how caught up in it I was. Further evidence: For the first time ever I’m writing an author to thank him for making me fork over perfectly good money to read a story I’d already paid good money to read the first time. But where The Last Colony grabbed me by the gut, Zoe got my heart.
