Another "Perspective"

Donald Sensing chimes in on the Iwo Jima/Iraq comparison with some more recent historical study of Iwo Jima, of which I was unaware. (I based bits of my essay last night on Ronald Spector’s reasoning in “Eagle Against the Sun.” Although, apparently, bits of it are outdated, it is probably still the best single-volume history of the Pacific Campaign. And a joy to read.)

Anyway, go read Donald’s stuff right away.
