David Gergen just doesn’t give a spin job like he used to:
Former Clinton aide David Gergen, who worked with Berger in the White House, was interviewed on NBC’s “Today” show Tuesday and said of Berger’s actions, “I think it’s more innocent than it looks.”
And just how innocent is a 300-pound man in a $3,000 suit, with his shorts stuffed with classified memos supposed to look?
OpinionJournal’s James Taranto writes:
United Press International reports that David Gergen, a former aide to Clinton and other ex-presidents, told the “Today” show that he thinks Berger’s action is “more innocent than it looks.” It’s hard to think of anything that looks less innocent than stuffing documents into his pants.
