Dissatisfied Customer

If you’re wondering where I’ve been, I’ve been on the phone. Here’s the resulting letter to Dave Workman, president of Ultimate Electronics.

Dear Mr. Workman,

I write to you as a long-time customer who would like to remain so. At this time, however, I can see no reason to continue doing business with Ultimate Electronics, SoundTrack, or any of your other stores.

Over a year ago, my Mitsubishi television developed a convergence problem. Never mind the unimportant technical details; what is important is that your company has proven itself, time and time again, completely incompetent in repairs, communications, and customer service.

The problem was originally “fixed” last year, but soon returned. Being busy with a wedding and house-hunting with my bride, I let it slide until March of this year. That’s when the real problems began
