During my AOL days, I used to get kicked out of chat rooms for my occassional use of foul language. But AOL was (and is) a terrible, terrible service. I needed to cuss now and then.
That’s probably why I got myself my very own blog on my very own domain.
But that’s not the point. The point is, I had to come up with some way of cursing that the authorities couldn’t do anything about. So I came up with the ultimate bad word: “SteveCase.”
As in, “Go SteveCase yourself, you SteveCasing SteveCase.”
It worked. I got to vent, the chatroom got some free entertainment, and the OpCops couldn’t do anything about it.
And nothing in the intervening years has made me change my mind about the worthiness of Mr. Case.
Which is probably why I find this story so gratifying.
