Ken Layne on the asteroid that almost hit Earth yesterday:

Yeah, an H-bomb-style impact sure isn’t “potentially hazardous.” Especially if it hit the Middle East. There’s yer peace plan, Bush!

If the asteroid had it the Middle East, we’d have our soldiers over there in a heartbeat — performing rescue operations, setting up shelters, feeding the survivors, and not asking any questions.

Had it hit New York, or Dallas, or Ken’s El-Lay, the Arab world would be dancing in the streets, chanting “Allah-hu akhbar!” They have before.
