The Grump — John Cole — is back, and has some advice for young ladies who want to date us oh-so-desirable men in our ’30s:

Steely Dan, the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers, and various jazz bands like the Dave Brubeck Quartet or Miles Davis should not be referred to as ‘has-beens.’ Honor that slight fact, and I might not threaten to curb-jaw Britney Spears.

It gets better. Well, not better than Steely Dan or Dave Brubeck, but better.
